Boardgaming

This saturday we had another board gaming afternoon with friends, but first we had to go grocery shopping and do the chores.

When we arrived at our friends, we started playing as soon as we had coffee and cake.

We started with Crimson Creek, a game from Kickstarter in the mood of a slasher horror flick (like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street). A mad (and dead) murderer take possession of one of the players and everyone needs to survive long enough to name the traitor among them. We started quite bloody - everyone except two died in the first act - but in the end the mad murdered was caught.

The second game was some kind of bluff game with dice named Skull King. You have to guess how many rounds you will win, but you have to roll dice to determine who wins each round. Dice game + me = bad combination.

After that we went into space and explored a bit with Roll for the Galaxy. Since we played it quite recently I could explain the rules rather quick and we could play it very fast. I think the others liked the game.

Then it was time for some dungeon crawl with the Ugly Snouts Assault. The scenario we played was rather easy - or we were quite lucky - so we had no problems beating it. Next time it's the final showdown with the baddies.

As an in between game we then played Codenames.

And the conclusion of the evening was Der wahre Walter, where a sentence it read out loud with the word WALTER as a substitut for one or more words. The players have to guess which words the current player who read out the sentence would be using. This was getting funnier by the minute, as some constellations were hillarious.
