Film Review: Valerian

We went to the movies yesterday and watched the latest Luc Besson movie Valerian.

The visually rather stunning movie is based on a french comic and is about the intergalactic agents Valerian and Laureline, who try to do their secret missions and also save the intergalactic space station Alpha from destruction in the process.

A lot of aliens later they also uncover a conspiracy - one might wonder how this will turn out.

Well, the movie has a nice story - there have been better once made by Luc though - but the real problem I had with this movie was the main cast. They play their roles rather uninteresting and without any chemistry between them - which according to the story they should have. On the sidenote of charsima they are also lacking and around the middle of the movie I really focused more on the supporting cast and totally forgot about the heroes of the movie.

Another bad thing about the movie was only in our presentation I hope, the movie was not well focused, meaning that some of the 3D effects were out of sync and that didn't do the movie any good either.

Conclusion: story and visuals are nice, main cast is terrible - no really recommendation from me for that
