Yesterday it was our movie monday, but in the end we only were 3 people. We decided to watch the movie based on an app: The Angry Birds Movie.
The story is abou Red, a red bird with anger issues and that's why he's sent to group therapy. But when the pigs arrive on the island of the birds and start stealing the eggs, Red is the bird of the moment and uses his anger to get the eggs back!
The movies consists of two parts. The first one is about the history of the birds and their current story and is full of gags and funny situations. The second part is about the pigs stealing the eggs and this is based entirely on the app - and unforunately not remotely as funny as the first part.
Conclusion: the first part is great, the second one boring - so not a movie you need to see at the cinema, at home it's still funny enough and you can stop at the middle of the film if you like.

Die Story handelt von Red, einem roten Vogel, der Wut-Probleme hat und deswegen zu einer Therapiegruppe gehen muss. Als aber die Schweine auf der Insel der Vögel landen und die Eier stehlen ist Red genau der Richtige um die Sache in Ordnung zu bringen und zwar mit Wut!
Der Film ist für mich zweigeteilt gewesen. Im ersten Teil lernt man die Vögel und ihre Vorgeschichten kennen - mit diversen Gags, die sehr humorvoll aufbereitet sind. Der zweite Teil handelt dann von den Schweinen und dem Kampf der Vögel gegen sie und das ist eigentlich der Inhalt der zugrundeliegenden App. Leider sucht man hier die Gags eher umsonst und das macht es ein wenig fad.
Fazit: die erste Hälfte ist grandios, die zweite eher "na ja" - nicht notwendigerweise ein Film, den man im Kino sehen muss, zuhause reicht es vollkommen.
