Boardgaming all day and night long (almost)

This saturday the weather was extremly unfriendly, but since we had guests for boardgaming in the afternoon and I didn't want to bake anything I went to Kurkonditorei Oberlaa and picked up something.

Rather wet I came back home and then we cleaned to flat before our guests arrived.

We started the boardgaming with the card version of Camel Up. This game plays better than the original since the luck factor of the die has been replaced by strategic card playing.

Then we went to ancient Rome and built ourselves a Colosseum each. With the maximum number of players (5) it still is a funny and exciting boardgame which may have a surprising winner in the end.

Afterwards we became bacteria and tried to kill off the planet's population in Plague Inc: The Board Game. The conversion from the computer game with the same name is kind of strange, but it still is a nice game.

Then we went to the funny part of the evening by drawing stuff with Telestrations. I present to you appendix (in german the literal translation is "blind gut").

The conclusion of the evening was a murder on the Mystery (not Orient) Express. We trried to solve it, but this game is a more complex version of Clue and it was rather later, so we were not up to our optimum potential.

Am Samstag war das Wetter extrem unfreundlich, aber nachdem wir am Nachmittag Gäste zum Brettspielen bei uns eingeladen hatten und ich nicht backen wollte, bin ich einfach zur Kurkonditorei Oberlaa gefahren und haben uns dort etwas geholt.

Etwas durchnässt wieder zuhause haben wir dann die Wohnung gemacht, bevor unsere Gäste eingetroffen sind.

Begonnen haben wir mit der Kartenspielvariant von Camel Up. Da spielt sich doch um einiges besser, weil der Glücksfaktor vom Würfel durch strategisches Kartenspielen ersetzt wurde.

Danach sind wir ins alte Rom gegangen und haben Colosseum gespielt. Auch in der Variante mit fünf Spielern macht das Spiel extrem viel Spaß und ist bis zum Schluss spannend.

Anschließend sind wir alle zu Bakterien geworden und haben in Plague Inc: The Board Game versucht alles Leben auf der Erde auszulöschen. Die Umsetzung vom gleichnamigen Computerspiel ist ein wenig seltsam, aber es ist trotzdem ein nettes Brettspiel.

Dann wurde es lustig, weil dann haben wir Stille Post Extrem gespielt. Es bleibt mir nicht viel mehr dazu zu sagen, als ein Beispiel zu präsentieren.

Zum Abschluss haben wir dann noch einen Mord im Mystery (nicht Orient) Express gelöst. Es ist eine etwas komplexere Form vom Cluedo und zur späten Stunde war das dann schon ein wenig zuviel zum Denken.
