Barbecue in the (mild) rain

Yesterday we went to a dear friend in Klosterneuburg for a barbecue. The weather was not that good, but we got something to eat and were well fed afterwards.

After that we played some boardgames (Telestrations, Metro und Straw) and build two Billy cupboards before we went back home to our cats.

In the evening we just went onto the couch and this time we watched a rather recent movie: Ghost in the Shell (the latest installment). I have to admit that the theme and the style of the movie was well done, but the main actress (Scarlett Johansson) did not fit at all and not just because she's not asian.

Gestern waren wir bei einer lieben Freundin in Klosterneuburg zum Grillen eingeladen. Das Wetter hat nicht ganz mitgespielt, aber wir wurden trotzdem gut versorgt und gesättigt.

Danach haben wir dann ein bisschen brettgespielt (Stille Post Extrem, Metro und Straw) und zwei Billy Regale aufgestellt bevor es wieder nach Hause zu den Katzen ging.

Am Abend dann war wieder Couch angesagt und wir haben uns diesmal einen Kinofilm angesehen: Ghost in the Shell (die Neuverfilmung). Ich muss leider sagen, das Setting war sehr stimmig umgesetzt aber die Hauptdarstellerin (Scarlett Johansson) hat überhaupt nicht zur Rolle gepasst und nicht nur weil sie keine Asiatin ist.

Birthday party mayhem

Yesterday my dear came back from her spa vacation and immediately after that we went to Alte Donau for the birthday party.

It was a party with food and drinks and Telestrations - and in the evening we all worked together to clean up again.

When we finally came back home we were quite exhausted so we went to bed right after having a shower.

Gestern kam mein Schatz vom Thermenurlaub zurück und wir haben uns dann gleich wieder auf den Weg zur Geburtstagsparty an der Alten Donau gemacht.

Es wurde gefeiert, geschlemmt und Stille Post Extrem gespielt - dann am Abend auch wieder alles brav weggeräumt.

Als wir dann nach Hause gekommen sind, waren wir so müde dass es nach dem Duschen gleich ins Bett ging.

Boardgaming madness (with drawings)

This saturday we went to dear friends of ours for boardgaming and brunching. After the food was done, we started with The Grimm Forest.

After that the fairy tales ended and we started drawing with Telestrations. The best drawings can be found down at the bottom of this blog post.

Then we played an Escape the Room game: Unlock! and once again didn't make it in time to leave the island of Doctor Goorse.

The conclusion was a few games of Codenames: Pictures before we went back home to our cats.

Am Samstag waren wir bei lieben Freunden zum Brettspielen und Brunches eingeladen. Nachdem das Essen vorbei war, haben wir mit The Grimm Forest begonnen.

Danach war die Zeit der Märchen vorbei und wir haben gezeichnet, bei Stille Post Extrem. Die besten Zeichnungen gibt es wie immer weiter unten im Blogpost.

Dann haben wir ein Escape the Room Spiel gespielt, nämlich Unlock! und haben es wieder knapp nicht geschafft die Insel des Doktor Goorse zu verlassen.

Zum Abschluss haben wir dann noch ein paar Partien Codenames: Pictures gespielt bevor wir nach Hause zu den Katzen gefahren sind.
