The end of the vacation

Yesterday was our last day of the vacation, but we went into Milano for one last trip and even found two gaming stores there.

Back in Vienna my father was kind enough to pick us up and bring up home - thanks again for that!

The cats were quite excited and hungry - although my parents took very good care of them - so we fed them and played with them.

Since we were quite tired we then just watched a movie and went to bed early.

Gestern ging unser Urlaub schon wieder zu Ende, aber wir sind zum Abschluss noch etwas durch Mailand gewandert und haben auch zwei Gamestores aufgesucht/gefunden.

Zurück in Wien hat uns dann mein Vater wieder vom Flughafen abgeholt und nach Hause chauffiert - danke nochmals dafür!

Die Katzen waren auch schon sehr aufgeregt und hungrig - trotz perfekter Pflege durch meine Eltern - und so haben wir sie gleich versorgt.

Nachdem wir sehr müde waren haben wir uns noch einen Film angeschaut und sind dann bald schlafen gegangen.

EXPO 2015 - day 2

Yesterday was the second day we spent inside the EXPO 2015. And here are some impressions of our stay there.

Gestern war der zweite Tag, wo wir auf der EXPO 2015 waren. Hier ein paar Impressionen von diesem Besuch.

EXPO 2015 - day 1

Yesterday we had a perfect breakfast buffet at our hotel. This together with the room itself was more than worth the stay.

Well fed we then went straight to the EXPO grounds and so did half of Milano as well. After a security post worthy of an airport and a march of about 1 kilometer we finally made it to the ground itself..

We did the whole east side pavilions that day and did a lot of tasting (not free of charge) during our visits.

In the afternoon it started to rain a bit, but most of the pavilions had a roof so we managed. Depending on the polularity of both the country and their pavilion you had to wait up to 1,5 hours (Japan) to get inside.

In the evening we went to the special performance of the Cirque du Soleil directly on the EXPO grounds.

Since the performance ended rather late we managed to come back to our hotel room way after midnight and after a quick shower went to bed exhausted.

Gestern sind wir in der Früh zu einem perfekten Frühstückbuffet im Hotel gegangen. Allein das und die Unterkunft war den Preis der Reise wert.

Gut gefüttert sind wir dann gleich zum EXPO Gelände gefahren und haben uns dort in die Massen gestürzt. Nach einer Sicherheitskontrolle wie am Flughafen und einem Fußmarsch von rund 1 Kilometer sind wir dann endlich zum eigentlichen EXPO Gelände vorgelassen worden.

Wir haben uns die östliche Hälfte der Pavilions angeschaut und sind immer wieder auch zum Kosten (entgeltlich) gekommen.

Am Nachmittag hat es leider zu regnen begonnen, aber die meisten Pavilions waren überdacht und so ging das auch. Je nach Beliebtheit der Aussteller und deren Pavilions hat man dann übrigens auch bis zu 1,5 Stunden (Japan) warten müssen, damit man reingelassen wurde.

Am Abend dann waren wir noch bei der Vorstellung des Cirque du Soleil, die direkt am Messegelände dargeboten wurde.

Nachdem die Vorstellung recht spät aus war, sind wir erst nach Mitternacht wieder im Hotel angekommen und nach einer Dusche gleich ins Bett gefallen.
