Film review: Fack ju Göhte 2

Yesterday we were at the movies again and we watched the second part of a german surprise hit: Fack ju Göhte 2 (phonetically correct version of "fuck you goethe")

The chaotical class of former inmate Zeki Müller is going a school trip to Thailand. But Zeki has his own agenda (again), because he hid part of his last loot in a stuffed toy, which was shipping to Thailand as a gift to children in need. Chaos and anarchy break loose very shortly once the arrive their destination...

Like part one before this movie shows us an (hopefully) exaggerated version of life in (german) schools these days. The teachers are unable to cope with the pupils, which themselves are not interested in learning anything. And yet the former inmate manages somehow to get his class under controll (at least some of the time) and they love him nevertheless/because of it.

Brute and very vulgar humor is what makes this movie very funny - so mucht that you oftern end up with tear of joy in your eyes. Although the story itself is basically the same as in the first movie of the franchise. So if the already planned third part is really gonna happen, perhaps they could change the story and keep the rest to make it the next german blockbuster.

Conclusion: awesome!
