Yesterday I was at my parent's for dinner. The sweet delight of the week was: deep fried apple slices with sugar and cinnamon.
After that I went home, where the cats already awaited my arrival. My dear was out with a friend of hers so I entertained the cats a bit. After that I went on to play some Guild Wars 2 and helped a friend with her jumping puzzle problems.
Later that evening, when my dear returned, we went on to watch some tv series. First there was an old episode of Top Gear and then we watched the preview of the pilot of a brand new series on Hulu: Forever.
Dr. Henry Morgan is a medical examiner and kind of a modern Sherlock Holmes, since he can deduct things from the smallest details and is mostly right about those. But it isn't pure luck, he has a secret: he lives already for more than 200 years and cannot die. Each time he meets an untimely demise he wakes up - naked - in the East River and is quite well again.
The series also centers around a female detective, who seems to be up to him right from their first meeting. But this isn't his only problem, because he also got a "fan" who seems to already know his secret. How will Henry cope with this - not quite new - situation? This is one of the questions the pilot throws at the viewers, but naturally doesn't give an answer to.
A very interesting new series, which could be best described as a mixture of Sherlock Holmes, Bones and Highlander - with a splash of Castle. The series starts near the end of september, but showing the pilot early was the right decision - we want to see more of Dr. Morgan.
The pussy cat has her own personal jungle.
