More chores, but also more time to spare

Yesterday we stayed home and did more of our chores.

In the afternoon wir played some more Super Mario Party on the Switch and in the evening it was tv shows time again on the couch.

Gestern sind wir zuhause geblieben und haben weiterhin Hausarbeit gemacht.

Am Nachmittag haben wir dann wieder Super Mario Party auf der Switch gespielt und am Abend dann ging es weiter mit Fernsehserien.

Relaxing is for later...

Yesterday we wanted to take the day off and relax, but since there was still so much to do from the Christmas holidays we continued doing that instead.

My dear also tried to get us a nice short and not too expansive vacation for februar/march, but it seems that this combination is impossible to find and we are no closer to a relaxing trip than before.

In the evening we watched the NFL play offs and then played some Super Mario Party on the Switch before we went to bed.

Gestern wäre eigentlich der Tag zum Ausruhen gewesen, aber nachdem immer noch genug zum Aufräumen war nach den Weihnachtsferien, haben wir uns halt daran gemacht.

Mein Schatz hat auch weiterhin versucht uns für Februar/März einen Kurzurlaub zu organisieren, der uns gefällt und preiswert ist. Leider scheinen diese Kriterien nicht zusammen zu passen und wir sind immer noch keinen Schritt weiter.

Am Abend dann haben wir NFL Play Offs geschaut und ein bisschen Super Mario Party auf der Switch gespielt bevor es ins Bett ging.

It's a Switch!

Yesterday I was up earlier than usual on a Sunday, since I sold another boardgame - but this time directly here in Vienna.

In the afternoon my dear went roleplaying and I tried out the newly bought Nintendo Switch and also started playing the new Zelda - Breath of the Wild. I have to say this little console is really nice, although the range of available games at the moment is quite narrow. I did make some screenshots, which I will post later here in my blog, after I copied them from the console.

Gestern war ich etwas früher als gewohnt für einen Sonntag auf den Beinen, da ich ein weiteres Brettspiel - aber direkt in Wien - verkauft habe.

Am Nachmittag ist dann mein Schatz zum Rollenspielen gefahren und ich habe die am Freitag gekaufte Nintendo Switch in Betrieb genommen und auch gleich das neue Zelda - Breath of the Wild gespielt. Ich muss sagen, die kleine Konsole kann einiges, aber die Auswahl an Spielen ist noch sehr dürftig. Screenshots vom Spiel folgen dann noch, ich muss sie erst von der Konsole runter kopieren.

A somewhat different friday

This friday I went to Mariahilf after work as usual, but the main stop this time was not Planet Harry but the picking up of our pre-ordered Nintendo Switch. We were lucky enough to get one from the first batch and so I quickly went to pick it up, although we won't be playing with it until sunday since today we are going to a birthday party of a dear friend.

Then it was Planet Harry and Temaya - like almost any other friday - and when I came home the cats were very happy about their share of the fish.

In the evening my dear was at the opera and so I stayed home alone with the cats, with which I played quite a lot and after that took a longer session in Guild Wars 2 as well before it was finally time to go to bed.

Am Freitag ging es wieder nach der Arbeit nach Mariahilf und diesmal war nicht Planet Harry die wichtigste Anlaufstelle. Wir hatten die Nintendo Switch vorbestellt und durch Glück waren wir jetzt doch bei der ersten Well an Auslieferungen dabei und deswegen habe ich sie mir gleich geholt. Zum Spielen werde ich aber erst am Sonntag kommen, nachdem heute die Geburtstagsparty einer Freundin ansteht.

Zum Planet Harry und danach zum Temaya - wie fast jeden Freitag - ging es dann natürlich schon noch und die Katzen haben sich sehr über den mitgebrachten Fisch gefreut.

Am Abend war mein Schatz in der Oper und so war ich allein mit den Katzen zuhause und habe mich ausführlich mit ihnen beschäftigt. Dann auch noch eine längere Session in Guild Wars 2 und dann war es schon Zeit fürs Bett.

Looking forward to the weekend

Yesterday after work we went out to do some grocery shopping. While doing that I got a call that my ordered Nintendo Switch has arrived and I can pick it up today. Of course I'll do that, but I think we will try it out on sunday, because tomorrow we are invited to a birthday party, for which I started baking something to bring along:

Later that evening we watched some tv series and played a lot with our cats, who apparently have finally woken up from their hibernation.

Gestern sind wir nach der Arbeit noch schnell einkaufen gegangen. Dabei habe ich dann einen Anruf bekommen, dass ich mir heute schon die bestellte Nintendo Switch abholen kann. Das werde ich auch tun, aber vermutlich erst am Sonntag zum Ausprobieren kommen, da wir morgen auf eine Geburtstagsparty eingeladen sind wo ich gestern auch gleich das erste kulinarische Mitbringsel gebacken habe:

Am späteren Abend haben wir uns dann nur mehr Serien angeschaut und die Katzen ordentlich bespasst, nachdem sie jetzt scheinbar aus dem Winterschlaf aufgewacht sind.
