Yet another birthday party, but still for the same birthday of course, but with different people. So we went to Brandauer at Gerngross for the big buffet there.
Unforunately the quality of the food has declined with our recent visits to the restaurant. The lowlight this time was the dessert - chololate-banana pancake casserole. The pancakes tasted quite bad, but the chololate was so strong that you couldn't taste anything else anyway. We are not sure if we want to come back there in the near future. Perhaps it would be best to go to Gschamsten Diener next time, until the food at Brandauer's is adequate to it's price.
On out way home we went to Westbahnhof to restock some of our magazines. At that point it started to rain quite heavily, but we made it home almost dry. Of course we then were greeted by our cats, who wanted to be played with, because it wasn't that hot anymore in the flat.
In the early evening we played some Guild Wars 2 and traded in the festival tokens we collected over the past weeks, since with the beginning of season 2 on tuesday they will be worhtless.
The conclusion of the evening was two old episodes of Top Gear, where the funny trio was trying to find the source of the river Nile in Africa.
And that's how Bubu-bear is looking in the morning whether we are awake or not.

Und noch eine Geburtstagsfeier, zwar immer noch derselbe Geburtstag, doch diesmal mit anderen Leuten. Also sind wir am Vormittag Richtung Brandauer im Gerngross aufgebrochen und haben uns dem Buffet hingegeben.
Leider hat die Qualität der Speisen bei unseren letzten Besuchen gelitten und das Lowlight war diesem die Nachspeise - Schokolade-Bananen Palatschinken Auflauf. Die Palatschinken waren extrem grauslich, aber die Schokolade hat den Geschmack dafür ziemlich übertönt. Es ist fraglich, ob wir nicht ein bisschen Pause machen und wieder zum Gschamsten Diener gehen sollen, bis die Küche beim Brandauer wieder einigermassen dem Preis angemessen geworden ist.
Am Heimweg von der Feier sind wir dann bis zum Westbahnhof gegangen und haben uns mit aktuellen Zeitschriften eingedeckt. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hat es dann ordentlich zu regnen begonnen, aber wir sind relativ trocken nach Hause gekommen. Dort haben uns schon die Katzen erwartet, die den Temperatursturz durchaus gut geheissen haben und bespasst werden wollten.
Am frühen Abend haben wir uns dann noch ein wenig mit Guild Wars 2 auseinander gesetzt und unsere Festival Token gegen nette Dinge eingetauscht, damit sie mit Anfang Juli nicht mehr zu verwenden sind.
Den Abschluss des Abends haben dann wieder zwei alte Episoden von Top Gear dargestellt, diesmal waren die drei Lustigen auf der Suche nach dem Ursprung des Nils in Afrika unterwegs.
