Medieval times in Vienna

Yesterday we slept longer and after a good breakfast we went to a local medieval fair, where we spent most of the afternoon.

Later that afternoon, after a good rest at home, we tried out the newly added class in the Guild Wars 2 beta - the revenant. It was quite a different experience to play this class and we are both unsure if it will suit our playstyle.

In the evening my dear went to friends, so I was free to watch two episodes of Black Sails.

Gestern haben wir länger schlafen können und nach einem guten Frühstück sind wir zu einem örtlichen Mittelalterfest gegangen, wo wir einen guten Teil des Nachmittags verbracht haben.

Später dann, nach einer Ruhepause, haben wir die neue Klasse in der Guild Wars 2 Beta ausprobiert - den Revenant. Er spielt sich etwas ungewohnt und wir sind nicht sicher ob er schlussendlich dann etwas für uns sein wird.

Am Abend war mein Schatz bei Freuden und so konnte ich mir zwei Episoden von Black Sails anschauen.

Very busy friday

Yesterday I was for lunch at my parents' the last time this week and I got some tasty spaghetti carbonara.

After that I took with my their current internet modem - I was going to exchange it for a newer model - and went home. There the cats greeted me with both a surprised and hungry look on their faces. So I fed them quickly and was on my way again.

Then I was on my way to the post office to get the registered letter from the tax office. For once the post office wasn't filled with people, so I got my letter fairly quick. Next stop was the UPC shop where I exchanged the modem for the latest model. There was also almost no waiting there and no troubles with the exchange.

After that I went back to my parents' and installed the newly acquired modem - which was very quickly done without any complications. Afterwards I went on to Mariahilf for shopping. Since it was already quite late I only did a short shopping trip.

First I went to Planet Harry - the latest Call of Cthulhu roleplaying book had arrived - after that I went to shop for food at Natsu and Blutaumüller. On my way home it started to pour down on me, so I came home quite soaked. That didn't bother the cats very much, as they demanded their share of the food at once. After having served them I was allowed ti eat as well.

I spent the evening in front of the PC for a while, but then moved onto the couch to continue watching Black Sails. I reckoned falling asleep after the first episode, but I actually managed to watch three episodes in a row. After that I entertained the cats one more time before we all went to bed.

Gestern war ich zu Mittag kurz bei meinen Eltern zum Mittagessen und es gab köstliche Spaghetti Carbonara.

Danach habe ich das aktuellen Internet Modem mitgenommen - zum Umtausch auf ein neueres Modell - und bin nach Hause gefahren. Dort haben mich die Katzen überrascht aber hungrig empfangen und ich hab sie schnell gefüttert bevor ich wieder aufgebrochen bin.

Dann ging es einmal zur Post, meinen Finanz-Online RSa-Brief abholen. Ausnahmsweise war bei der Post einmal nicht viel los und so bin ich schon bald wieder am Weg gewesen. Nächste Station UPC-Shop und auch dort ging alles recht flott und ohne Probleme.

Danach bin ich wieder zu meinen Eltern gefahren und habe ihnen das neue Modem installiert - auch das war sehr schnell und ohne Komplikationen erledigt. Danach ging es nach Mariahilf zum Shoppen. Diesmal allerdings nur die kleine Runde, weil ich schon relativ spät dran war.

Also einmal beim Planet Harry einkaufen - das neue Call of Cthulhu Rollenspielbuch war gekommen - danach für Essen zum Natsu und dann zum Blutaumüller. Dann folgte der Heimweg und da hat er dann ordentlich zu regnen begonnen, sodass ich als begossener Pudel wieder zuhause angekommen bin. Die Katzen hat das weniger gestört und sie haben ihre Fisch Portion eingefordert. Dieser Forderung bin ich nachgekommen und durfte dann auch meine eigene Portion zu mir nehmen.

Den Abend habe ich dann ein wenig am PC verbracht, aber bin dann schon relativ bald auf die Couch gefallen um Black Sails weiter zu schauen. Ich habe ja damit gerechnet, dass ich wieder nach einer Episode zu müde zum Weiterschauen gewesen wäre, aber dem war nicht so und daher habe ich mir drei Folgen anschauen können. Danach noch Katzen-Unterhaltung und dann doch ins Bett fallen.

Dead tired

Yesterday after work I was again at my parents' for dinner and this time it was a delicious Kaiserschmarrn.

Afterwards I went home where - like the day before - the cats were eargerly awaiting my return and they were hungry as well. So I quickly fed them and then added a entertainment session on top of that. After that we all were exhausted but happy. So I did some stuff for my C# EDX course and after that I went onto the couch to watch an episode of Black Sails - another series my dead doesn't want to watch with me.

But after just one episode I was so tired that I quit and just went to bed.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit wieder bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen und es gab köstlichen Kaiserschmarrn.

Danach ging es nach Hause wo mich - wie schon am Abend davor - die Katzen sehnsüchtig und hungrig erwartet haben. Also wurden sie schnell gefüttert und dann ging es in den Spielmodus über. Danach waren wir alle drei erschöpft und happy. Ich habe mich dann ein bisschen mit dem C# EDX Kurs beschäftigt und bin dann auf die Couch gefallen um mir eine Folgen von Black Sails anzuschauen - ebenfalls eine Serie die mein Schatz nicht sehen will.

Allerdings war ich nach einer Folge so müde, dass ich dann nach der abendlichen Fütterung einfach ins Bett gekippt bin.

Pirates on the horizon

I was at work quite long yesterday and thus came home very late. The cats already started to look for a new owner, but I came back right on time and they didn't leave me out of sight for the rest of the evening - you can't be sure when he's gonna come back.

After dinner I then did go out again, but not far. I loaded my dad's car with comic boxes and old games for the X-Box, PS2 and Wii, for safekeeping. The cats very nearly panicking when I was going out the door again. Both of them then presumably waited right behind the door for me to return. Then again everything was fine again for them.

I spent the evening on the couch watching the first episode of Black Sails. The tv series recounts the story before Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island and is slightly less brutal than Crossbones. We will see how the series progresses and if I continue to watch it.

Busbi is happy in our bed, but still is curious why the big eye is watching him.

Gestern war ich länger in der Arbeit un bin dementsprechend auch sehr viel später nach Hause gekommen. Die Katzen hatten schon Vermisstenanzeige aufgegeben und mich den Rest des Abends nicht mehr aus den Augen gelassen - wer weiß wann er wieder weg geht.

Das habe ich nach dem Abendessen dann auch gemacht, denn ich habe das Auto von meinem Vater mit Comicboxen und alten X-Box, PS2 und Wii Spielen vollgefüllt, damit diese verstaut werden können. Man kann sich also vorstellen was für Wagenräder von Augen die Katzen gemacht haben, als ich wieder bei der Türe hinausgegangen bin. Beide sind dann direkt hinter der Tür gelegen und haben diese beobachtet, wie ich dann nach getaner Arbeit zurückgekommen bin. Dann war die Welt wieder in Ordnung.

Als Abendprogramm habe ich mir dann noch die erste Episode von Black Sails angeschaut. Die Serie umfasst die Vorgeschichte von Robert Louis Stevenson's Schatzinsel und ist weniger brutal als Crossbones. Man wird ja sehen in welche Richtung sich diese Serie entwickelt hat.

Bubsi ist happy im Bett und wundert sich nur über das große Auge, dass ihn beobachtet.
