Friday shopping trip

This friday it was shopping time again in Mariahilf. First stop myMuesli for restock.

After that we raided Planet Harry, but didn't find any new games to buy again.

Then we went to Blutaumüller for breakfast pasties and then to Temaya for a good dinner for the whole family.

Back home we were allowed - after sharing with our cats - to eat our sushi.

Later we went for a short visit to Guild Wars 2 and after that it was time for tv series on BBC.

Am Freitag ging es wieder nach der Arbeit nach Mariahilf. Zunächst galt es bei myMuesli Nachschub zu besorgen.

Danach wurde der Planet Harry heimgesucht, aber es gab auch wieder keine neuen Spiele für uns zum Kaufen.

Dann ging es zum Blutaumüller für ein Frühstück für heute und dann zum Temaya um ein gutes Abendessen für die ganze Familie.

Wieder zuhause durften wir - nachdem die Katzen versorgt waren - auch unsere Sushi essen.

Etwas später dann folgte ein kleiner Ausflug nach Guild Wars 2 und dann war es Zeit für die Couch mit Fernsehserien auf BBC.

Pre-Easter friday

On friday it was time for Mariahilf shopping again. On my way there I went by the post office to send a letter and then I went straight to Planet Harry. There were little news for me there, but I bought an easter present for my dear in the form of a roleplaying book.

On my way home I picked up the usual food for dinner and breakfast at Temaya (sushi) and Blutaumüller (pasties).

Back home I (and the fish) was already expected and so we all ate till we were quite full. After that I played a bit Guild Wars 2 and later it was time to watch some tv series on the couch.

Am Freitag war wieder Mariahilf und einkaufen angesagt. Auf dem Weg wurde noch schnell ein Brief am Postamt aufgegeben und dann ging es direkt zum Planet Harry. Dort gab es nicht viel Neues für mich, aber einen Osterhasen für meinen Schatz habe ich Form eines Rollenspielbuches eingekauft.

Am Heimweg dann gab es wieder die üblichen Essensvorbereitungen in Form von Sushi vom Temaya und Süßes vom Blutaumüller.

Wieder zuhause wurde der Fisch von allen schon erwartet und wir haben uns die Bäuche vollgeschlagen. Danach ging es ein wenig nach Guild Wars 2 und später dann zur Abendunterhaltung auf die Couch mit TV Serien.

A new trend on thurday?

Yesterday after work I went out again - amonst other things to unregister our former japanese guest from our address. But as it turns out you can only do this with a signed paper from the one unregistering, so I guess he'll have to do it himself or pay a fine if they ever find out.

Well "motivated" I went on to Mariahilf to shop, in the pouring rain. First I went to Tasty Donuts.

After that it was myMuesli and Planet Harry - to restock basically.

Then it was time to get real food, so I went to Natsu and Blutaumüller.

After that I was somewhat exhausted and tired and went back home. Arriving there I was greeted by our cats who demanded their tribut in the form of fish. After our furballs were satisfied, we were also allowed to eat our share of sushi.

Later that evening it was couch tim with BBC: The Great Interior Design Challenge, The Great Sport Relief Bake Off and Mary Berry's Foolproof Cooking.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit unterwegs - unter anderem unseren ehemaligen japanischen Gast aus unserer Wohnung abzumelden. Leider geht das nur mit Unterschrift des Beteiligten - wieso? - und daher wird er das wohl selber machen müssen oder dann Strafe zahlen wenn man ihm draufkommt.

Derart gut motiviert, bin ich dann nach Mariahilf weiter gegangen, wo ich in strömendem Regen einkaufen war. Zunächst ein Zwischenstop bei Tasty Donuts.

Danach zu myMuesli und Planet Harry - wo es in beiden Fällen galt Nachschub zu holen.

Dann war essen holen angesagt und so bin ich zum Natsu und zum Blutaumüller um Nahrung gegangen.

Danach war ich einigermaßen fertig und erschöpft und habe mich auf den Heimweg gemacht. Wieder zuhause durfte ich einmal den Katzen Tribut zollen und zwar in der Form von Fisch. Danach durften auch wir unsere Sushi essen.

Später dann ging es auf die Couch und wir waren auf BBC unterwegs: The Great Interior Design Challenge, The Great Sport Relief Bake Off und Mary Berry's Foolproof Cooking.

Friday shopping

This friday after work I came home for lunch. After that it was time for the weekly shopping trip to Mariahilf.

First stop was of course Planet Harry where I found one or two things to buy this week: The Duke, The Duke: Reinforcements – City Troops, The Duke: Middle Ages Siege Engines Expansion, Star Realms: Colony Wars and An den Küsten der Kristallsee for Splittermond (for my dear).

After that it was time to get some food at Natsu and Blutaumüller.

Back home the sushi were served - later than expected since our japanese guest was doing his rugby training, but forgot to tell us that he was taking much longer than usual this day - especially the cats were very happy about this.

In the evening it was time for tv series, this time we watched the pilot to Shadowhunters - a series based on the book series The Mortal Instruments. It was ok, but the series lacks a lot of depth.

Am Freitag ging es nach der Arbeit nach Hause zum Mittagessen. Danach war wieder der freitägliche Einkaufsbummel in Mariahilf auf dem Programm.

Zunächst war ich wie immer beim Planet Harry wo ich diese Woche wieder ein paar Sachen gefunden habe: The Duke, The Duke: Reinforcements – City Troops, The Duke: Middle Ages Siege Engines Expansion, Star Realms: Colony Wars sowie An den Küsten der Kristallsee für Splittermond (für meinen Schatz).

Wieder zuhause wurden dann die Sushi - verspätet, nachdem unser japanischer Gast beim Rugby Training war nicht vorher sagen konnte, dass er wesentlich später als sonst nach Hause kommmt - gegessen, vor allem die Katzen waren kaum zu halten.

Am Abend dann waren wieder Fernsehserien am Programm, wobei wir uns den Pilot für Shadowhunters - einer Serienaufbereitung der Bücher The Mortal Instruments angesehen haben. Es war ganz ok, obgleich die Serie halt ziemlich seicht zu sein scheint.

Fridays - as always a shopping experience

This friday it was a classical shopping afternoon in Mariahilf. This time I wanted to pick up our japanese guest after school. But since he didn't read the WhatsApp message after he was home and didn't read his SMS message at all, I went on to shop in Mariahilf on my own.

The shopping stops were at myMuesli and Planet Harry - where I got a large supply of new Star Trek Attack Wing ships.

After that it was time for food - as always from Natsu and some pastry for breakfast from Blutaumüller.

Back home I was greeted by the cats, who demanded their share of the loot. After they got it, we were finally allowed to eat ourselves.

In the evening we wanted to play some Guild Wars 2, but we were too exhausted and so it was couch time with the most recent BBC episodes of QI and MasterChef: The Professionals.

Am Freitag war wieder der klassische Mariahilf Nachmittag angesagt. Diesmal wollte ich unseren japanischen Gast von der Schule abholen. Nachdem er aber seine WhatsApp Nachricht erst zuhause gelesen und die von mir geschickte SMS gar nicht mitbekommen hat, bin ich dann allein in Mariahilf unterwegs gewesen.

Einkaufsstops gab es wieder bei myMuesli und beim Planet Harry - wo ich diesmal wieder eine Großlieferung an Star Trek Attack Wing Schiffen mitgenommen habe.

Danach war das Essen an der Reihe - wie immer vom Natsu und eine Kleinigkeit fürs Frühstück vom Blutaumüller.

Wieder zuhause wurde ich gleich wild überfallen und die Katzen haben ihre Portion eingefordert. Danach durften auch wir die Sushi zu uns nehmen.

Am Abend wollten wir ein wenig Guild Wars 2 spielen, aber wir waren dann zu fertig und so ging es direkt auf die Couch und zu den aktuellen BBC Serien von QI und MasterChef: The Professionals.

Hasty friday

It was shopping friday in Mariahilf again, but this time there was less time, since dinner had to be on time, before people were leaving again. So I stopped shortly at Planet Harry for the waves 19 and 20 of Star Trek Attack Wing and after that it was time to get the food from Natsu and Blutaumüller.

My dear went roleplaying and our japanese went to the opera with my mother-in-law. So I spent the evening with The Grey doing guild missions in Guild Wars 2.

Es war wieder Einkaufsfreitag in Mariahilf, wobei ich diesmal etwas gestresst war, nachdem das Abendessen serviert sein musste, bevor die Leute wieder ausgeflogen sind. Also war ich nur kurz beim Planet Harry die Waves 19 und 20 von Star Trek Attack Wing abholen und dann das Essen beim Natsu und Blutaumüller besorgen.

Mein Schatz war rollenspielen und unser Japaner war mit meiner Schwiegermutter in der Oper. Also habe ich mich am Abend mit den Grey getroffen und wir haben Gildenmission in Guild Wars 2 gemacht.

Friday's are exhausting

Yesterday it was time again to shop in Mariahilf. After I picked up our japanese guest from his language class once again and he picked up yet another ticket at Libro, I went to myMuesli and Planet Harry for shopping. There wasn't many new gaming items, but I got the expansion for Castles of Mad King Ludwig.

After that it was food time and so I went to Natsu and Blutaumüller to buy our dinner.

Back home I was greeted by my dear and the cats - although the cats were mainly interested in the food.

Later I tried to complete my Coursera course on Ruby on Rails, but I failed to do so.

Exhausted and somewhat frustrated it was time for the couch and we watched old episodes of The Great British Bake Off.

Gestern war wieder Einkaufen in Mariahilf angesagt. Nachdem ich ein weiteres Mal unseren japanischen Gast von seinem Sprachkurs abgeholt hatten und er sich wieder ein Ticket vom Libro geholt hat, bin ich zu myMuesli und zum Planet Harry zum Einkaufen gegangen. Viele Neuigkeiten gab es nicht, aber die Expansion zu Castles of Mad King Ludwig wurde mitgenommen.

Danach ging es daran unsere Abendessen zu organisieren und so bin ich beim Natsu und dann beim Blutaumüller eingefallen.

Zuhause wurde ich von meinem Schatz und den Katzen erwartet - wobei es bei den Katzen wohl hauptsächlich ums Essen ging.

Später dann habe ich versucht meinen Coursera Kurs zu Ruby on Rails zu vollenden, was mir leider nicht so gelungen ist.

Etwas erschöpft und frustriert bin ich dann auf die Couch gefallen und wir haben uns die alten The Great British Bake Off weiter angeschaut.

Friday's shopping

This friday we went to Mariahilf after work, where we got ourselves some schnitzels at mySchnitzel.

After that we went onto shopping at Planet Harry (7 Wonders Duel and Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans) followed by a stop at myMuesli where we finally got the three christmas flavored N'oats (porridge).

Then we picked up our japanese from his language course and then we got his tickets for a concert in May. Afterwards it was time to pick up some food at Tasty Donuts, Natsu and Blutaumüller before we finally went back home.

The sushi were very well received back home and quickly eaten by everyone.

In the evening we watched some tv series before we all went to bed tired.

Am Freitag ging es nach der Arbeit nach Mariahilf, wo es zu Mittag einmal ein Schitzel bei mySchnitzel gab.

Danach haben wir den Planet Harry geplündert (7 Wonders Duel und Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans) und anschließend ging es zu myMuesli wo es endlich die drei Weihnachtssorten N'oats (Porridge) gab.

Dann haben wir unseren Japaner vom Sprachkurs und mit ihm Tickets für ein Konzert im Mai abgeholt. Danach ging es zum Essenfassen bei Tasty Donuts, Natsu und Blutaumüller bevor wir uns auf den Heimweg gemacht haben.

Die Sushi wurden zuhause von allen gut geheißen und auch dementsprechend schnell verzehrt.

Am Abend dann gab es ein paar Serien bevor wir alle müde ins Bett gefallen sind.

Rainy friday

This friday we collected our japanese guest from school and went to the registration office.

After that it was lunch time at Vapiano at Westbahnhof.

Since it was raining all the time we quickly did our shopping at myMuesli and Planet Harry followed by the quest for food at Natsu and Blutaumüller.

Back home we shared our sushi with the cats and after that we also ate our portions.

In the evening we watched some tv series before it was time for bed.

Am Freitag haben wir unseren japanischen Gast von der Schule abgeholt und sind mit ihm zum Meldeamt gefahren.

Danach sind wir beim Vapiano am Westbahnhof essen gegangen.

Da es die ganze Zeit geregnet hat, sind dann rasch bei myMuesli und beim Planet Harry vorbei gegangen, bevor es zum Natsu und Blutaumüller für das Abendessen/Frühstück gegangen ist.

Wieder zuhause haben wir die Sushi mit den Katzen geteilt und sie uns auch schmecken lassen.

Am Abend haben wir uns dann ein paar Serien angeschaut, bevor es ins Bett ging.

Shopping and building

This friday I was home after work but left soon after that to go to Mariahilf for shopping. The extended shopping trip brought me to Audiamo, myMuesli and Planet Harry. I didn't find anything special this time around, so I soon went on to buy food at Natsu and Blutaumüller.

Back home the cats were quite happy about the sushi I brought and after being fed I spent the rest of the evening assembling the newly aquired IKEA bed.

Later, when my dear came back home from her roleplaying session, we had a quick episode of Arrow before going to bed.

Am Freitag war ich kurz zuhause und bin dann nach Mariahilf gefahren. Auf der erweiterten Einkaufstour standen das Audiamo, myMuesli und Planet Harry. Etwas spezielles habe ich mir nicht gefunden und so bin ich dann weiter gegangen um unser Essen beim Natsu und Blutaumüller zu holen.

Wieder zuhause haben sich die Katzen sehr über die mitgebrachten Sushi gefreut und ich habe den Abend damit verbracht das neu gekaufte IKEA Bett zusammen zu stellen.

Später dann, als mein Schatz von ihrer Rollenspielsession zurück gekommen ist, haben wir uns noch schnell eine Episode Arrow angeschaut, bevor es ins Bett gegangen ist.

Friday shopping

The friday shopping to Mariahil brought me to myMuesli - and lots of muesli for the next weeks - and to Planet Harry. There I found some new games I neede to buy: Dead of Winter, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Deck 4, Star Trek: Attack Wing – I.K.S. T'Ong, Star Trek: Attack Wing – I.R.W. Vrax, Star Trek: Attack Wing – U.S.S. Thunderchild and Das Geisterschiff von Caerdon for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game.

After that I went to Natsu and Blutaumüller, where I bought food for the next meals. The cats and I were very happy about the sushi - my dear was at a friend for the evening.

Later that evening we then just watched the current episode of Dominion before it was time for bed.

Die freitägliche Einkaufstour nach Mariahilf hat mit wieder zu myMuesli - und Vorrat für die nächsten Wochen - und zum Planet Harry geführt. Back to the friday routine

Yesterday was a typical friday again - we went to our shopping trip to Mariahilf. While my dear was at the barber shop, I was at Planet Harry shopping: Broom Service and The Thousand Young Expansion for the CoC LCG.

After that it was Natsu and Blutaumüller for our culinary needs. Back home our cats demanded their share of the sushi even before we had a chance to do anything else.

In the evening we played a bit of Diablo 3 before we watched the most recent episodes of Celebrity MasterChef.

Gestern war wieder ein typischer Freitag - es ging zur Einkaufstour nach Mariahilf. Während mein Schatz beim Friseur war, habe ich beim Planet Harry eingekauft: Broom Service und The Thousand Young Expansion für das CoC LCG.

Danach ging es weiter zum Natsu und Blutaumüller für unsere kulinarischen Genüsse. Wieder zuhause haben unsere Katzen gleich ihren Anteil an den Sushi beansprucht, bevor wir überhaupt die Chance hatten irgendetwas zu tun.

Am Abend dann haben wir wieder ein wenig Diablo 3 gespielt bevor es zu den aktuellen Folgen von Celebrity MasterChef ging.

Fridays are the best

Yesterday war friday and that meant going shopping on Mariahilferstrasse. First I went to myMuesli and afterwards to Planet Harry, but there wasn't anything new to buy for me there.

After that I went for food and shopped at Natsu and Blutaumüller. Back home I distributed the fish - cats first - and after that my dear went to the opera with her mother.

So I spent the evening first doing my EDX courses and then I went onto the couch to watch the most recent episodes of Game of Thrones and Gotham there.

Gestern war wieder Freitag und damit war ein Einkaufstrip Richtung Mariahilf angesagt. Dabei ging es zunächst zu myMuesli und danach zum Planet Harry, wo es leider diese Woche nicht sehr viele Neues gegeben hatte.

Anschließend war die Nahrungsaufnahme an der Reihe und so habe ich das Natsu und den Blutaumüller heimgesucht. Wieder zuhause habe ich die Sushi an die Familie verteilt - Katzen zuerst - und dann ist mein Schatz mit ihrer Mutter in die Oper gegangen.

Ich habe den Abend zunächst meine EDX Kurse weitergemacht und bin dann für die aktuellen Folgen von Game of Thrones und Gotham auf die Couch gegangen.

Very busy friday

Yesterday I was for lunch at my parents' the last time this week and I got some tasty spaghetti carbonara.

After that I took with my their current internet modem - I was going to exchange it for a newer model - and went home. There the cats greeted me with both a surprised and hungry look on their faces. So I fed them quickly and was on my way again.

Then I was on my way to the post office to get the registered letter from the tax office. For once the post office wasn't filled with people, so I got my letter fairly quick. Next stop was the UPC shop where I exchanged the modem for the latest model. There was also almost no waiting there and no troubles with the exchange.

After that I went back to my parents' and installed the newly acquired modem - which was very quickly done without any complications. Afterwards I went on to Mariahilf for shopping. Since it was already quite late I only did a short shopping trip.

First I went to Planet Harry - the latest Call of Cthulhu roleplaying book had arrived - after that I went to shop for food at Natsu and Blutaumüller. On my way home it started to pour down on me, so I came home quite soaked. That didn't bother the cats very much, as they demanded their share of the food at once. After having served them I was allowed ti eat as well.

I spent the evening in front of the PC for a while, but then moved onto the couch to continue watching Black Sails. I reckoned falling asleep after the first episode, but I actually managed to watch three episodes in a row. After that I entertained the cats one more time before we all went to bed.

Gestern war ich zu Mittag kurz bei meinen Eltern zum Mittagessen und es gab köstliche Spaghetti Carbonara.

Danach habe ich das aktuellen Internet Modem mitgenommen - zum Umtausch auf ein neueres Modell - und bin nach Hause gefahren. Dort haben mich die Katzen überrascht aber hungrig empfangen und ich hab sie schnell gefüttert bevor ich wieder aufgebrochen bin.

Dann ging es einmal zur Post, meinen Finanz-Online RSa-Brief abholen. Ausnahmsweise war bei der Post einmal nicht viel los und so bin ich schon bald wieder am Weg gewesen. Nächste Station UPC-Shop und auch dort ging alles recht flott und ohne Probleme.

Danach bin ich wieder zu meinen Eltern gefahren und habe ihnen das neue Modem installiert - auch das war sehr schnell und ohne Komplikationen erledigt. Danach ging es nach Mariahilf zum Shoppen. Diesmal allerdings nur die kleine Runde, weil ich schon relativ spät dran war.

Also einmal beim Planet Harry einkaufen - das neue Call of Cthulhu Rollenspielbuch war gekommen - danach für Essen zum Natsu und dann zum Blutaumüller. Dann folgte der Heimweg und da hat er dann ordentlich zu regnen begonnen, sodass ich als begossener Pudel wieder zuhause angekommen bin. Die Katzen hat das weniger gestört und sie haben ihre Fisch Portion eingefordert. Dieser Forderung bin ich nachgekommen und durfte dann auch meine eigene Portion zu mir nehmen.

Den Abend habe ich dann ein wenig am PC verbracht, aber bin dann schon relativ bald auf die Couch gefallen um Black Sails weiter zu schauen. Ich habe ja damit gerechnet, dass ich wieder nach einer Episode zu müde zum Weiterschauen gewesen wäre, aber dem war nicht so und daher habe ich mir drei Folgen anschauen können. Danach noch Katzen-Unterhaltung und dann doch ins Bett fallen.

Not the typical friday

Yesterday I left work early since we had to pick up our new "old" numberplates for our new car. After that we went for an spontaneous lunch at Sichuan.

Back home, we left all the stuff and I went back out to shop in Mariahilf. The places I visited this time were myMuesli (restock of mueslie for the next weeks), Planet Harry (new games and a bit of smalltalk), Natsu (dinner for all of us in the form of fish) and Blutaumüller (sweet things for the weekend).

Back home I handed out the fish and when the cats had finished theirs we were allowed to eat ours as well.

The evening we spent on the couch watching this week's episodes of BBC's Masterchef.

Gestern bin ich etwas früher aus der Arbeit gegangen, weil wir noch unsere neuen "alten" Nummerntafeln für unser neues Auto besorgen mussten. Danach sind wir dann auf ein spontanes Mittagessen zum Sichuan gegangen.

Wieder zuhause, haben wir alles abgeladen und ich bin dann Richtung Mariahilf aufgebrochen. Dort war ich dann bei myMuesli (Nachschub für die nächsten Wochen holen), Planet Harry (neue Spiele und ein bisschen Smalltalk), Natsu (Abendessen für uns alle in Fischform) und Blutaumüller (Süßes für das Wochenende).

Wieder zuhause habe ich dann die Fische verteilt und nachdem die Katzen fertig waren durften wir auch essen.

Den Abend haben wir dann wieder auf der Couch verbracht mit den wöchentlichen Folgen von BBC's Masterchef.

Friday, on the road again

Yesterday was friday and that meant that it was time for the weekly shopping tour in Mariahilf. I wasn't doing the big tour, since I rested for some time back home and left quite late this time.

The places I went to this time were: myMuesli - getting an exclusive Mozart muesli, Planet Harry - where I bought the latest expansion for Castle Panic, Natsu - for the weekly share of fish for humans and felines, Blutaumüller - sweet stuff for weekend's breakfast.

After that I went home, where I was expected already. The cats became their food immediately and after that we also were allowed to eat our share. In the evening we first played a bit of Pillars of Eternity before going onto the couch and watch the most recent episodes of Castle and Forever.

By the way, I almost forgot, that I handed in my contribution for the short story and roleplaying contests of this year's Vienna Fantasy Gaming Convention, which will take place at the end of april and I'd like to thank again everyone involved and helping me make this possible!

Gestern war wieder Freitag und das bedeutet, dass ich auf großer Einkaufstour in Mariahilf unterwegs war. Wobei ganz so groß ist sie nicht ausgefallen, weil ich mich zunächst zuhause noch etwas ausgeruht habe und so relativ spät weggegangen bin.

Die Stationen waren diesmal: myMuesli - mit einem exklusiven Mozart-Muesli, Planet Harry - wo die neue Expansion für Castle Panic mitgenommen werden musste, Natsu - die wöchentliche Fischportion für Mensch und Katze, Blutaumüller - Süßes für Frühstück am Wochenende.

Danach ging es nach Hause und dort wurde ich schon sehnsüchtig erwartet. Die Katzen waren schnell versorgt und dann durften auch wir unsere Portion Fisch zu uns nehmen. Den Abend haben wir zunächst mit Pillars of Eternity verbracht und danach ging es auf die Couch zu den aktuellen Folgen von Castle und Forever.

Ach ja, ich hatte ganz vergessen, ich habe auch meine Beiträge für die Wettbewerbe in der Kategorie Kurzgeschichte und Rollenspiel für die Vienna Fantasy Gaming Convention Ende April abgegeben und möchte mich noch einmal herzlich bei allen Beteiligten und Helfern bedanken!

Friday - why can't it be friday all the week

It was friday again and we didn't leave the flat. Ok, just joking, of course we went to Mariahilf for shopping and strolling. We started at Westbahnhof and first visited Starbucks to get the birthday drink for my dear. Piece of advice though, avoid the cinnemon syrup as it really tastes very artificial.

Then we walked down Mariahilferstrasse and after some quick stops at various shops we arrived at Planet Harry. Some chatting and buying later we left again for getting food.

The food this week was provided by Natsu and Blutaumüller. And then it was time to go home again, where our cats were waiting for us and demanded their tribute.

In the evening I played a bit Guild Wars 2 before we went onto the couch for series watching. This time it was the most recent episodes of Helix and Constantine.

Es war Freitag und wir sind nicht aus dem Haus gegangen. Ach was, natürlich waren wir unterwegs und haben Mariahilf unsicher gemacht und teilweise auch aufgekauft. Beginnend vom Westbahnhof sind wir zunächst beim Starbucks eingefallen um den Geburtstagsdrink von meinem Schatz abzuholen. Gleich ein Tipp von uns, den Cinnemon Syrup nicht nehmen, der schmeckt nur künstlich.

Dann sind wir die Mariahilferstrasse runtergegangen und nach ein paar kurzen Abstechern bei diversen Geschäften dann im Planet Harry gelandet. Ein bisschen plaudern und einkaufen und schon waren wir wieder am Weg weiter.

Die nächsten Stationen waren dann kulinarischer Natur: Natsu und Blutaumüller. Dann ging es wieder nach Hause wo wir von unseren Katzen schon erwartet wurden und wo wir unseren Tribut in Fisch zahlen durften.

Am Abend war ich dann ein wenig in Guild Wars 2 unterwegs bevor wir auf die Couch gefallen sind und uns aktuelle Serien wie Helix und Constantine angeschaut haben.

Fridays are great!

This friday's tour to Mariahilf started with a good lunch at home. After that I was off to do some shopping, but just the short version of it this time.

So first I was at Planet Harry for the weekly games fix, then I bought food at Cornwall Pasty Pirates, Natsu and finally Blutaumüller. Well equipped I then went home again, where I was allowed to share the fish by/with our cats, which made them very happy.

The evening I spent trying out the free weekend of Civilization: Beyond Earth on Steam. I must confess that as of lately I'm not that fond of games anymore that take ages to accomplish anything - perhaps time has gotten to precious for me. So I'm glad I tested it and know for sure that I don't need to buy it in the future.

The evening was traditionally conluded by watch tv series on the couch.

Der freitägliche Ausflug nach Mariahilf hat zuerst mit einem guten Mittagessen zuhause begonnen. Danach ging es dann zum Shoppen, wobei die Tour diesmal kürzer war.

Also da was zunächst der Planet Harry für die wöchentliche Dosis Spiele, dann ging es weiter zum Essenkauf bei den Cornwall Pasty Pirates, dem Natsu und dem Blutaumüller. Gut bepackt bin ich dann schlussendlich wieder nach Hause gefahren, wo ich gleich meinen Fisch abgeben durfte und so Katzen glücklich gemacht habe.

Den Abend habe ich ein wenig mit dem gratis Spielwochenende von Civilization: Beyond Earth verbracht. Ich musste aber feststellen, dass mir Spiele die ewig dauern bis man ein Erfolgserlebnis hat nicht mehr so viel Spaß machen wie früher - vermutlich weil Zeit kostbarer geworden ist. Daher bin ich zwar dankbar für den gratis Test aber auch froh, dass ich mir das Spiel nie kaufen werden muss.

Den Abend beschlossen haben wir dann traditionellerweise auf der Couch mit Fernsehserien.

Friday shopping tour

And once again it was Friday. As soon as this week has started it was over again, so it was time for the weekly shopping tour to Mariahilf.

But before we went, we had a quick lunch at home. After that we wanted to leave but our cats suddenly acted very strangely and were hiding under the couch. So we stayed home for a bit and made sure that everything was alright with them. We didn't find out what was wrong - possibly a mini earthquake that we weren't able to notice - but after about 30 minutes the cats were back to their normal self again. So it was safe for us to finally leave for shopping.

We started at Westbahnhof and shopping commenced on Mariahilferstrasse from there. First at myMuesli - where we bought more breakfast supplies - then to Planet Harry, who managed again to have gotten new and desirable games for us. On our way home we picked up food for the weekend at Cornwall Pasty Pirates, Natsu and Blutaumüller before finally making our way home.

Arriving there we were instantly greeted by the cats, who demanded their share of the food - even before we were able to change clothes. When they were finally happy, we then could eat our food as well.

The evening was spent the usual way: first gaming on the PC and later watching series on the couch.

Und schon war es wieder Freitag. Kaum hatte die verkürzte Arbeitswoche begonnen, schon war sie wieder aus und es war an der Zeit zum Shoppen nach Mariahilf zu gehen.

Doch bevor wir aufgebrochen sind, haben wir noch schnell zuhause zu Mittag gegessen. Danach wollten wir dann eigentlich los, doch plötzlich waren die Katzen ganz verschreckt und haben sie regelrecht versteckt. Also haben wir geschaut was los ist, aber nichts gefunden. Nach ca. 30 Minuten intensiver Betreuung sind sie wieder in ihren normalen Zustand gekommen und alles war vergessen. Unsere Vermutung war, dass sie etwas gespürt haben was für und nicht wahrnehmbar ist - z.B. ein Mini-Beben - und deshalb so verstört waren. Nachdem es ihnen aber wieder gut ging, sind wir dann nach Mariahilf aufgebrochen.

Dort haben wir vom Westbahnhof her begonnen unsere Einkäufe zu tätigen. Da war zunächst myMuesli - wo es wieder Nachschub für das Frühstück gegeben hat - dann ging es zum Planet Harry, der wieder etliches neue Spiele bekommen hat und die wollten alle mitgenommen werden. Quasi dann schon auf dem Heimweg sind wir zu den Cornwall Pasty Pirates und beim Natsu bzw. beim Blutaumüller eingefallen und haben uns mit entsprechend essbaren eingedeckt.

Wieder zuhause angekommen wurde das Fisch gleich requiriert, bevor wir überhaupt Zeit hatten uns umzuziehen. Also wurden den Katzen ihre Portion gegeben und dann durften wir auch zuhause ankommen. Also wir unsere Portion zu essen begonnen hatten, waren die beiden Katzen natürlich schon fertig, aber glücklich.

Den Abend haben wir dann zunächst vor dem PC verbracht und später dann auf der Couch.

Fridays are the best

Yesterday was again Friday and that meant it was time for shopping. But it was also still my vacation, so after a lovely breakfast and doing the dailies in Guild Wars 2 I went to my parents for lunch. This time around it was very tasty Gundel pan cakes (chocolate and nuts).

After that I went on to Mariahilf and actually started shopping. First at myMuesli - sale on the Christmas special mueslis - and then to Tasty Donuts - thought food for the Planet Harry team. At Planet Harry we had our weekly discussion round about important issues - ok, well it was mostly games again.

Of course I didn't manage to leave without buying something and so I picked a games we then tested and played that very evening.

On my way home the food part of the shopping trip started to beging with pasties at the Cornwall Pasty Pirates, sushi at Natsu and sweet stuff for breakfast at Blutaumüller.

Meanwehile the weather decided to turn from bad to worst and so I hurried back home as slow as the public traffic could take me.

Back at home sweet home I was greeted by the cats - who somehow found out that it was actually Friday. In any case the food was served a bit later anyways and when it was served there was joy in the eyes of our cats. And then we were allowed to eat as well - what a nice move from the four paws.

Then I started reading the rules and later playing the new game: Tash-Kalar: Arena of Legends.

In this game you need to placed your pieces in a tactical way - not unlike Go. But to score points you need to fulfill changing goals which give you the necessary points to win. Although we only played the basic version of the game it was much fun and I think we will play another game with all the rules very soon.

After that I went to South Park and played the adventure game for a bit. But soon thereafter we went onto to couch and first played some Gauntlet and then helped Lara Croft in the temple of Osiris.

The conclusion of the day was an episode of James May's Toy Stories before we fed the cats on last time before going to bed.

Gestern war wieder einmal Freitag und das bedeutet Einkaufszeit. Doch gestern war auch immer noch mein Urlaub also bin ich zunächst nach dem Frühstück und einer Runde Dailies in Guild Wars 2 zu meinen Eltern zum Mittagessen gefahren. Dort gab es köstliche Gundelpalatschinken.

Anschließend bin ich dann nach Mariahilf gegangen und habe angefangen einzukaufen. Zunächst bei myMuesli - Abverkauf der Weihnachtsmueslis - und dann bei Tasty Donuts - unter anderem Donuts für das Planet Harry Team. Beim Planet Harry schließlich gab es die wöchentlich geistig hochtrabenden Gespräche zu allem und jedem - ok, sagen wir es wie es war: zu Spielen.

Natürlich habe ich es nicht geschafft ohne etwas zu kaufen das Geschäft zu verlassen und so habe ich gleich auch ein Spiel mitgenommen, welches dann am Abend gleich getestet wurde.

Auf dem Heimweg gab es dann wieder Nahrungsmitteln zum Einkaufen und so wurden Pasties bei den Cornwall Pasty Pirates, Sushi beim Natsu und Süßes beim Blutaumüller erstanden.

Das Wetter hatte mittlerweile die Grenze von Unfreundlich überschritten und so habe ich mich bemüht rasch wieder nach Hause zu kommen, was mit nach einiger Zeit in den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln auch gelungen ist.

Im trauten Heim angekommen wurde ich von den Katzen begrüßt - ob die wohl auch gewusst haben, dass Freitag war? Auf jeden Fall gab es dann etwas später erst das Abendessen in Fischform und dann gab es kein Halten mehr für die wuscheligen Vierpfoter. Etwas später durften wir dann auch unsere Portionen zu uns nehmen und alles war gut.

Dann ging es ans Regeln lesen und schließlich auch spielen von Tash-Kalar: Arena of Legends.

Bei diesem Spiel handelt es sich um ein taktisches Legespiel, nicht unähnlich Go. Allerdings muss man nicht versuchen seinen Gegner zu umkreisen, sondern bestimmte - sich ändernde - Zielkarten zu erfüllen um so Punkte zu machen. Obwohl wir nur die Basisversion gespielt haben, hat es uns recht gut gefallen und wir werden demnächst wohl die echte Version ausprobieren.

Danach habe ich dann etwas weiter in South Park reingeschaut und das Abenteuerspiel aus Steam weiter gespielt. Doch alsbald hat es uns dann auf die Couch gezogen, wo wir zuerst ein wenig in Gauntlet herumgelaufen sind und dann schließlich Lara Croft im Tempel von Osiris geholfen haben.

Den Abschluss des Tages hat dann aber eine Folge von James May's Toy Stories gemacht bevor wir die Katzen gefüttert haben und ins Bett gefallen sind.
