Mostly alive

Yesterday we went grocery shopping for the weekend, but after that I was rather exhausted and had to lay down.

In the evening we had an invitation to a St. Patrick's dinner on the MS Admiral Tegetthoff - a christmas present from my mother-in-law.

The food was ok although rather greasy - which I found out during the night. The ship itself was rather cranoed - too many people for my taste - loud and quite airless. The other thing that was a disappointment was that during the night you didn't see anything from the outside during our trip on the river danube. So I guess this will stay a one of a kind experience for us.

Gestern haben wir fürs Wochenende einkaufen gehen müssen und danach war ich für den Rest des Nachmittags fertig und habe mich ausruhen müssen.

Am Abend waren wir dann zu einem St. Patrick's Essen auf der MS Admiral Tegetthoff eingeladen - ein Weihnachtsgeschenk von meiner Schwiegermutter.

Das Essen war ok, wenn auch sehr fett - was ich dann in der Nacht zu spüren bekommen habe. Aber das Schiff war eng - viel zu viele Leute - laut und stickig. Desweiteren hat man in der Nacht natürlich auch nichts von der Aussicht auf der Donau gehabt. Ich fürchte das wird eine einmaliges Erlebnis bleiben.

Yesterday I went home early because I wasn't feeling very well and I'm ill again - this time with a fever as well.

Gestern bin ich früher nach Hause gegangen weil ich mich nicht gut gefühlt habe und prompt bin ich wieder krank - diesmal mit Fieber.

Yesterday after work I went to my parents for dinner and got some tasty Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce.

Afterwards I went back home and after a entertainment session for the cats we went onto the couch and watched tv shows.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen und habe dort einen guten Kaiserschmarrn mit Apfelmus bekommen.

Danach ging es nach Hause und dort haben wir uns nach einer kurzen Spielsession mit den Katzen schon bald auf die Couch zurückgezogen und Serien geschaut.

The day after the Oscars

Yeserday after the Oscars night we slept rather long, even the cats since they were up all night as well.

After that we went grocery shopping and then did the weekly chores. Later that afternoon I continued to play in the latest Path of Exile league before we went onto the couch and watched tv shows.

Gestern haben wir uns nach der langen Oscarnacht gut ausgeschlafen. Auch die Katzen haben lange geschlafen, waren sie doch auch mit mir die ganze Nacht munter.

Danach sind wir dann einkaufen gegangen und haben uns dann um den Haushalt gekümmert. Am späteren Nachmittag habe ich dann bei der neuen Path of Exile Liga weiter gespielt und am Abend gab es dann wieder Serien auf der Couch.

Before the Oscars (thx to @YSDC)

Yesterday we prepared for the Oscars night, but we still found some time for two scenarios of Gloomhaven. Now my dear also has a character that is almost ready to retire, but I think she likes to continue to play him for some more time.

The cats also wanted to play, but in the end we let them play with their toys instead.

In the afternoon I slept a bit in advance for the long night of the Oscars, but before that happened there was yet another session of Starry Wisdom by Yog-Sothoth.com - a pleasure as always.

Gestern haben wir uns ein wenig auf die Oscar Nacht vorbereitet, aber es gingen sich trotzdem noch zwei Szenarien von Gloomhaven aus. Jetzt ist mein Schatz auch knapp davor ihren Charakter in Pension zu schicken, aber ich glaube sie will ihn noch länger weiterspielen.

Die Katzen waren auch sehr daran interessiert mitzuspielen, aber wir haben sie dann lieber mit ihren Sachen spielen lassen.

Am Nachmittag wurde etwas vorgeschlafen und dann in der Nacht ging die Oscar Nacht über die Bühne, doch zuvor stand noch eine Folge Starry Wisdom von Yog-Sothoth.com am Programm - wie immer gute Unterhaltung.

Saturday shopping spree

Yesterday we went to Mariahilf and did our weekly shopping trip. For lunch we went to Rani.

After that we went to myMuesli, Thalia and Planet Harry and afterwards we had a lot of stuff to carry home.

In the afternoon I played some Assassin's Creed Origins and in the evening we watched a lot of BBC shows.

Gestern waren wir in Mariahilf unterwegs und haben unseren wöchentlichen Einkauf getätigt. Zu Mittag waren wir beim Rani essen.

Danach ging es dann zu myMuesli, Thalia und Planet Harry sodass wir mit vielen Sachen wieder nach Hause gekommen sind.

Am Nachmittag habe ich dann Assassin's Creed Origins gespielt und am Abend ging es zu etlichen BBC Serien auf die Couch.

Gloomy retirement

Yesterday after work we stayed home because friends came over and we played another game of Gloomhaven. The first time since we played this game I had the chance to retire a character. My scoundrel was fed up with blowing up every other time he opened a chest, so he left the party to live a different live. But in his place a little vermling approached our party and he brought a huge bear with him! Yes, I'm now playing a beast master with a huge bear!

Because of rather nice team work we managed to beat the very difficult scenario in the end - of course my bear did most of the work!

After that we stored the game again and then went onto the couch to watch some tv shows before we went to bed.

Gestern waren wir nach der Arbeit zuhause, denn wir hatten wieder Besuch und mit dem haben wir dann wieder Gloomhaven gespielt. Zum ersten Mal seit wir das Spiel spielen hatten wir auch einen Charakter der sich zur Ruhe gesetzt hat. Mein Dieb hatte es satt dauernd explodierende Kisten zu öffnen, also ist er in Pension gegangen. Zum Ausgleich hat sich dann ein kleiner Vermling gemeldet, der in die Party aufgenommen werden wollte und als Bonus hat er seinen Bär mitgebracht! Ja, ich spiele jetzt einen Beast Master mit Bären!

Durch gute Teamarbeit haben wir das sehr heftige Szenario geschafft und alle waren zufrienden - natürlich hat der Bär die Hauptarbeit gemacht!

Danach haben wir das Spiel weggeräumt und uns dann noch zu Serien auf die Couch begeben bevor es ins Bett ging.
