Boardgaming again

This saturday we had some dear friends over for boardgaming.

We started with Betrayal Legacy, which is a very excellent version of the usual Betrayal game. We will continue the game on our next boardgaming afternoon...

Then we played the politically incorrect game of Joking Hazard, followed by Codenames and Stich-Meister.

Am Samstag hatten wir wieder liebe Freunde zum Brettspielen bei uns.

Wir haben mit Betrayal Legacy begonnen und es ist eine wirklich gute Version vom normalen Betrayal Spiel. Beim nächsten Spielenachmittag geht es dann weiter...

Dann haben wir total unkorrekt Joking Hazard gespielt, bevor es dann noch zu Codenames und Stich-Meister gekommen ist.

Boardgaming with friends

This saturday we had dear friends over for boardgaming.

We started with a rather complex game: Coimbra. Most of the players lived it and for it plays mucht better in the four player version than the two player one.

Then we went into the forest and tried to catch spirits there - in Spirits of the Forest.

Next up was Codenames and the laughed and guessed a rather long time.

We continued with Stich-Meister - every round new rules for this rather nice trick taking game.

The conclusion of the day was a trip into the world of H.P. Lovecraft with Lovecraft Letter.

Am Samstag hatten wir liebe Freunde zum Brettspielen bei uns.

Begonnen haben wir einem recht komplexen Spiel: Coimbra. Es hat den meisten gut gefallen und mir persönlich ist die vier Spieler Version auch lieber als die bereits erprobte zwei Spieler Variante.

Danach sind wir in den Wald gegangen und haben die Geister des selben gefangen - bei Spirits of the Forest.

Als nächstes stand dann Codenames auf dem Plan und es wurde geraten und gelacht, dass sich die Balken biegen.

Mit Stich-Meister ging es dann weiter - jede Runde neue Regeln, die teils recht komplex zueinander passen.

Zum Abschluss gab es dann noch einen Ausflug in die Welt von H.P. Lovecraft mit Lovecraft Letter.

Boardgaming all day long

This saturday we had a boardgaming day with dear friends.

We started with some Roll for the Galaxy, where my people loved settling and not much else including trading - which didn't go well with their leader.

Next we played Straw, where the poor camel was overloaded three times with the eponymous item.

After that we played Stich-Meister and had a lot of rather strange rule combinations.

Afterwards we went to tile laying with Azul and we once again had a blast.

Next up were crabs and lots of them with You've Got Crabs, where you play in teams of two and try to collect crabs of the same type and then silently communicate to your partner that you have a complete set. But if the other team get that secret signal they can intervene and get the point themselves.

After a nice dinner with steak we then played a few games of Codenames - the 18+ variant.

The conclusion of the day was that we went to the casinos of Las Vegas.

Am Samstag war wieder großer Brettspieltag mit Freunden angesagt.

Begonnen haben wir mit Roll for the Galaxy, wo meine Leute lieber friedlich siedeln als handeln wollten - sehr zum Missfallen ihres Anführers.

Danach gab es eine Partie Straw und das arme Kamel wurde gleich dreimal mit dem namens gebenden Halm überladen.

Anschliessend haben wir Stich-Meister gespielt und es sind wieder ein paar wilde Regelkombinationen zustande gekommen.

Weiter ging es mit Azul, zu dem man nicht mehr sagen muss als dass es ein sehr gutes Spiel ist.

Als nächstes standen Krabben auf dem Speiseplan bei You've Got Crabs, wo man teamweise gleiche Krabben sammeln muss und sich dann geheim darüber verständigt, doch Achtung die Gegner schauen mit und wenn sie das geheime Zeichen schneller als der Temakollege erkennen gibt es Punkteabzug.

Nach einem guten Steak Nachtmahl haben wir dann ein paar Runden Codenames - und zwar in der 18+ Version - gespielt.

Zum Abschluss des Tages ging es dann noch ins Kasino von Las Vegas.

Boardgaming all day long

Yesterdaywe at first went grocery shopping for the weekend before we went to friends for boardgaming.

After some nice coffee and cake we started with Rising Sun, a mythical japanse territory control game.

After a very long play, we then played the much faster Hanabi before dinner, but we didn't finish in time so we continued afterwards.

Next up was a visit in the wonderful land of Oz with the latest of the Unlock! adventures.

Since we also wanted to have a good laugh, we then played the rather strange Kampf gegen das Spießertum and it was rather weird.

A good boardgame afternoon needs a good card game to be a success, so we played Stich-Meister.

And the conclusion of the evening was spies versus spies and their codenames.

Gestern waren wir zunächst für das Wochenende einkaufen und danach ging es zum Brettspielen bei Freunden.

Nach einer guten Jause haben wir dann mit Rising Sun begonnen, einem mystisch japanischen Territory Control Spiel.

Nach einer sehr langen Partie, haben wir dann Hanabi zum Überbrücken bis zum Abendessen gespielt. Leider wurden wir nicht ganz fertig, daher ging es danach weiter.

Als nächstes stand dann ein Ausflug nach Oz auf dem Programm mit dem neuesten Unlock! Abenteuerspiel.

Damit auch das Lachen nicht zu kurz kommt haben wir dann das sehr unkorrekte Kampf gegen das Spießertum gespielt und das war vielleicht bizarr.

Ein guter Spielenachmittag ist nicht komplett ohne ein gutes Kartenspiel, also wurde Stich-Meister ausgepackt.

Und dann ganz am Ende wurden die Spione aktiv und wollten ihre Codenames wissen.

More boardgaming

Yesterday we were invited to visit friends for boardgaming and so we did play a lot of games.

We started with the very strange game called Kampf gegen das Spiessertum - which a is the german version of Cards against Humanity.

After that we went on dreaming with When I Dream and talked about it.

Then we were divided into two teams and played four games of Codenames.

For the next one we played we had to board our submarines and find and destroy the other teams sub with Captain Sonar.

Then we went on gambling in Las Vegas and went to a lot of casinos there.

The conclusion of the evening - as we do most of the time - was filled with laughter after drawing stuff with Telestrations. And here are the pictures of the funniest ones (sorry, not translation this time).

Gestern waren wir wieder bei Freunden zum Brettspielen und wir haben ein Vielzahl an Spielen gespielt.

Begonnen haben wir mit dem ziemlich unkorrekten Kampf gegen das Spiessertum - quasi die deutsch Version von Cards against Humanity.

Danach sind wir ins Träumeland gewechselt und haben unsere Träume besprochen in When I Dream.

Dann wurden wir in zwei Team getrennt und wir haben vier Runden Codenames gespielt.

Als nächstes sind wir in unsere U-Boote gestiegen und haben bei Captain Sonar versucht die gegnerischen U-Boote zu finden und zu versenken.

Glücksspiel stand als nächstes auf dem Plan, da wir nach Las Vegas gefahren und haben in den Kasinos gespielt.
