Leberkas for a quick snack

This friday after work I went to Mariahilf - on my way a had a quick snack at Leberkas Pepi for lunch.

At the dear Planet Harry I had nothing to buy, but it was good entertainment as always and so I returned home empty handed.

In the evening it was time for tv shows on the couch again.

Am Freitag ging es nach der Arbeit gleich nach Mariahilf - am Weg dorthin gab es beim Leberkas Pepi eine Stärkung.

Beim lieben Planet Harry habe ich diesmal - außer guter Unterhaltung - nichts Neues gefunden und so ging ich mit leeren Händen wieder nach Hause.

Am Abend waren dann wieder Fernsehserien auf der Couch angesagt.

Linz - a place to visit

Since our japanese guest wanted to see Linz, we went there on saturday. Finally we decided that going there by car was the most comfortable way - for most of us anyway.

After we arrived, we had to had a snack at Lebkas Pepi (the original).

Thus well prepared for the task ahead we went to the Schlossmuseum and looked through the exhibitions.

Afterwards we wanted to take the Pöstlingbergbahn up the hill, but we managed to just miss the train. So instead we went for a quick snack at a nearby cafe.

We also missed the next train again, so this time we waited and were able to take the following one up the hill to have a nice view from above.

Back in the city we wanted to visit the Ars Electronica Center, but it was already rather late so we just did some shopping and had dinner at Vapiano.

After that we went back home, where our cats were already waiting for us (and their food). So after feeding them and playing with them we were allowed onto our couch to watch an IMAX documentary about the deep sea and the latest episode of Sleepy Hollow on Hulu before it was time for bed.

Auf Wunsch unseres Japaners waren wir am Samstag in Linz. Wir sind nach längerer Überlegung dann doch mit dem Auto gefahren, weil es einfach bequemer - für manche von uns - ist.

Nachdem wir angekommen sind, haben wir gleich einen Imbiss beim Lebkas Pepi (dem Original) eingenommen.

Gut gestärkt sind wir dann ins Schlossmuseum gegangen und haben uns die Ausstellungen angesehen.

Danach wollten wir mit der Pöstlingbergbahn fahren, haben aber genau einen Zug verpasst und sind daher auf eine Jause ins Cafe gegangen.

Den nächsten Zug haben wir dann auch noch verpasst, aber dann ging es endlich steil bergauf um einen Ausblick über Linz von oben zu haben.

Wieder zurück in der Stadt war es dann für das Ars Electronica Center schon zu spät, also sind wir nur kurz shoppen und Abendessen ins Vapiano gegangen.

Danach ging es nach Hause, wo uns schon die Katzen sehnsüchtig erwartet haben. Nach der Fütterung und Spielsession durften wir dann auch auf die Couch und wir haben uns eine IMAX Dokumentation über das Meer und dann die aktuelle Folge von Sleepy Hollow auf Hulu angesehen bevor es endgültig ins Bett ging.

Wintersday has arrived!

Yesterday was the presentation of the results from my last stay at the sleeping lab and it looks quite ok for now. Then I went home and worked from there for the rest of the day, until we went with our advisor from AFS about our japanese guest.

On our way home we got dinner at Leberkas Pepi and when we were home our guest wanted to see the latest Transformers movie. So while he and my dear did that I tried out the newly release Wintersday festival in Guild Wars 2, but there were way too many people - who wanted to do just that as well - so I was not very happy about it. So it's time to check it out later today.

Gestern war meine Befundbesprechung im Schlaflabor und es schaut im Moment relativ gut aus. Danach habe ich von zuhause aus gearbeitet, bis wir uns dann am Abend mit unserer AFS Betreuerin getroffen haben und über unseren japanischen Gast geredet haben.

Nach einem Abendessen beim Leberkas Pepi sind wir wieder nach Hause gefahren und es war der Wunsch unseres Gastes sich den letzten Transformers Film anzuschauen. Ich habe dann in der Zwischenzeit versucht das neue Wintersday Festival in Guild Wars 2 anzuschauen, aber die Masse der anderen Spieler - die das ebenfalls wollten - hat mir ein wenig die Lust verdorben. Es wird also später genauer unter die Lupe genommen.

Lebekas Pepi!

Yesterday after work we went to the inner city and we tried Leberkas Pepi for dinner. There you have a large variaty Leberkäse, but we really liked to ones we tried.

After that we went to the AFS meeting, where we came together with other families who have exchange students right now and it was an enlightening experience.

Back home it was already very late, so we went to bed rather quickly.

Gestern waren wir nach der Arbeit in der Stadt unterwegs und haben den Leberkas Pepi ausprobiert. Dort gibt es recht ungewöhnliche Leberkäs-Sorten, aber wir waren mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.

Danach ging es zum AFS Meeting, wo wir uns mit anderen Gastfamilien austauschen konnten und wieder um ein paar Erfahrungen reicher wurden.

Wieder zuhause war es dann aber schon so spät, dass wir gleich ins Bett gefallen sind.
