It was an UnEpic evening

Yesterday I was travelling with public transport as I had an appointment at the hospital because of my sleeping disorder. But I now have to wait again several week for the real examination, because yesterday was only the general check. The next free spot will be somewhere in March.

Later than usual back home from work I entertained the cats, who were somewhat sleepy still from the Super Bowl night.

After that I played a bit of Magic 2015 before turning back to UnEpic. The game is - although it has very simple graphics - very good and although I'm about 25% through with the story so far, it really wants you to play more and get on with the strange but humorous story.

In the evening we watched the current episode of Top Gear which took place in the australian outback before we went to bed tiredly.

Gestern war ich mit den Öffis unterwegs, weil ich in der Früh einen Termin im Spital wegen meiner Schlafprobleme hatte. Ich darf jetzt aber gleich wieder ein paar Wochen warten, weil das war nur eine Routineuntersuchung und den eigentlichen Termin bekomme ich dann irgendwann im März.

Einigermassen spät nach der Arbeit wieder zuhause habe ich mich um die Katzen gekümmert, die auch noch etwas verschlafen von der durchgemachten Super Bowl Nacht unterwegs waren.

Dann ging es ein paar Runde Magic 2015 spielen bevor ich mit UnEpic weitergemacht habe. Das Spiel hat - trotz der simplen Grafik - etwas, was einem nicht wirklich loslassen will, und ich bin erst bei ca. 25% des Spiels angelangt.

Am Abend schließlich haben wir uns dann die aktuelle Folge von Top Gear im australischen Outback angeschaut bevor es müde ins Bett ging.

Not a typical friday

It was friday again and as usual I wanted to go shopping to Mariahilf. But first of all the weather was so bad, that you wouldn't let your proverbial dog out, and secondly I wasn't feeling very well either. So the combination of those two facts let me to decide to stay at home.

So I relaxed on the couch - fluffy cat between my feet - and afterwards played a bit of Magic 2015, UnEpic and Guild Wars 2 before going back onto the couch for watching tv series.

Es war wieder einmal Freitag und eigentlich wollte ich ja nach Mariahilf gehen. Doch auf der einen Seite war das Wetter derart unwirtlich, dass man den sprichwörtlichen Hund nicht auf die Strasse gehetzt hätte und zum anderen habe ich mich gesundheitlich nicht auf der Höhe gefühlt. Diese Kombination hat mich dann davon überzeugt zuhause zu bleiben.

Nach ein wenig ausruhen auf der Couch - Flauschkatze auf den Beinen inklusive - habe ich dann ein wenig Magic 2015, UnEpic und Guild Wars 2 gespielt bevor wir wieder auf die Couch gefallen sind - diesmal zum Serien schauen.

New games from the Humble Bundle

Yesterday was a quiet evening at home. After a great dinner I at first played a bit of Guild Wars 2. In between the things I managed to do the cats wanted to be entertained and announced it their way. So we felt compelled to do something about it. Afte everyone with four paws was satisfied I went back to play some more Magic 2015.

But then the new weekly Humble Bundle arrived and before I could notice it I had some new games to test. I especially like one game, which is UnEpic. It's a RPG like the Castlevania series with a lot of roleplaying clichés and humour.

After that it was couch time with the most recent episode of Arrow and an old one from Top Gear before it was bedtime.

Gestern war ein recht ruhiger Abend zuhause. Nach einem guten Nachtmahl habe ich zunächst ein bisschen in Guild Wars 2 Sachen erledigt. Zwischendurch waren die Katzen bereit bespaßt zu werden und haben das auch entsprechend kund getan. Also waren wir in der Hinsicht aktiv. Danach habe ich dann Magic 2015 weitergespielt.

Dann kam das neue Humble Bundle der Woche heraus und schon hatte ich wieder neue Spiele zum Ausprobieren. Speziell gut gefallen hat mit UnEpic. Ein RPG im Stile von Castlevania aber mit einer Unmenge an Rollenspielklischees und -humor.

Dann ging es auf die Couch zur aktuellen Folge von Arrow und einer alten Folge Top Gear bevor es ins Bett ging.

Exciting day

Yesterday I was at work for only a short period of time, because at noon a was at the hospital to talk about the results from my stay for my sleeping disorder. There was nothing new to report, so the diagnosis is still valid. Now it was time to talk about options and there were two of them. First I could get an operation rather soon and the second one is wearing a mask while sleeping. The second option and resulting examiniations will make me wait another 8 months - so I'm quite pleased (no, I'm not) that I pay for health care that is delivered sometime later.

After that we went to the inner city to Koi for lunch. It was execellent again and we even had a celebrity sitting next to us - Andreas Gabalier.

Afterwards we went home, from where I worked the rest of the afternoon.

Then I baked the sweet treat of the week - an almond cake.

IN the evening I played some Magic 2015 and Guild Wars 2 before going onto the couch and watching the recent episodes of The Flash and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Gestern war ich nur kurz in der Arbeit, weil ich zu Mittag die Befundbesprechung vom Schlaflabor hatte. Dort gab es allerdings nichts Neues zu berichten, die Diagnose ist immer noch dieselbe und ich habe jetzt die Wahl zwischen einer korrektiven Operation und einer Schlafmaske. Ersteres sollte relativ rasch möglich sein und zweiteres bzw. ein Kontrolltermin hat wieder eine Wartezeit von 8 Monaten - da freut man sich doch, dass man Geld für das Gesundheitssystem zahlen darf und die Leistung irgendwann erbracht wird.

Danach sind wir dann in die Innenstadt zum Koi essen gegangen. Es war wie immer gut und wir hatte sogar einen prominenten Tischnachbarn - Andreas Gabalier.

Danach ging es nach Hause, von wo aus ich dann den restlichen Nachmittag gearbeitet habe.

Dann habe ich die Süßspeise der Woche gebacken - einen Mandelkuchen.

Am Abend haben ich dann wieder Magic 2015 und Guild Wars 2 gespielt bevor es auf die Couch ging zu den aktuellen Folgen von The Flash und Marvel's Agent Carter.

A magical evening

Yesterday I was quickly shopping for the weekly baking, after I came home from work. This week I tried a variant of Paul Hollywood's Swiss Roll with chocolate and cocos.

After that/while baking we went to play some Magic 2015 - the PC game - and some heavy duelling. Afterwards I did my dailies in Guild Wars 2 and then it was time to entertain the cats.

A bit exhausted we then went onto the couch and wacthed the latest episodes of The Flash and Galavant.

The next few days I will post pictures of our tom cat while he is hunting his food in our bed. Some of those are a bit blurry, but the expressions of Gandalf are worth posting those pictures anyway.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit noch schnell für das wöchentliche Backen einkaufen. Ich habe diesmal eine Variation von Paul Hollywood's Swiss Roll mit Schoko-Kokos gemacht.

Danach/während dem Backen waren wir in Magic 2015 - dem PC Spiel - unterwegs und haben uns kräftig duelliert. Anschließend habe ich noch die Dailies in Guild Wars 2 absolviert und dann ging es zum Katzenbespassen über.

Derart gut ausgepowert sind wir dann auf die Couch gefallen und haben uns die aktuellen Folgen von The Flash und Galavant angeschaut.

Die nächsten Tage gibt es Bilder vom Kater beim Zucki jagen im Bett. Leider sind ein paar unscharf geworden, aber die Posen sind es trotzdem wert gepostet zu werden.
