Early weekly shopping again

Yesterday after work I went on my weekly shopping trip to Mariahilferstrasse, since we are invited to the birthday dinner of a friend tonight.

First stop was Planet Harry and there I got the gift for this saturday's boardgame afternoon. In addition I also got a rather sweet bluRay deal: The Martian, Mad Max Fury Road and season 1 of The Flash. So there will be some great movie nights soon at home.

After that it was time to grab some food for dinner - not week should go by without the weekly cat sushi! So this time I went again to Temaya and they also have take-away.

Well packed I went home, where the cats already waited for me (and the food to be honest). But we all waited until my dear came back home and then it was time for dinner.

Afterwards, as the evening entertainment, we watched the last episode of season 2 of Agent Carter, the last episode of season 3 of James May's Cars of the People and the very first episode of Back in Time for the Weekend.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit auf dem Shopping Trip auf der Mariahilferstrasse, nachdem wir heute Abend von einer Freundin zu ihrem Geburtstagsabendessen eingeladen sind.

Zunächst war ich beim Planet Harry und habe die Mitbringsel für den Spielenachmittag am Samstag erstanden. Dabei habe ich auch gleich drei Schnäppchen beim bluRay Abverkauf gemacht: The Martian, Mad Max Fury Road und Season 1 von The Flash. Also demnächst großes Kino zuhause.

Danach ging es daran das Abendessen zu besorgen - denn keine Woche ohne Sushi für die Katzen! Ich bin also wieder zum Temaya gegangen und sie haben das Essen auch zum Mitnehmen.

Gut bepackt ging es nach Hause, wo die Katzen schon gewartet haben. Wir haben dann alle gemeinsam - mehr oder weniger geduldig - auf meinen Schatz gewartet und als wir dann komplett waren gab es Abendessen.

Danach, als Abendunterhaltung, standen die letzte Folge der zweiten Staffel von Agent Carter, die letzte Folge der dritten Staffel von James May's Cars of the People und die erste Folge von Back in Time for the Weekend auf dem Programm.

A typical fri... wait it was thursday still...

Yesterday I left work early because my dear and I had an appointment at MA11. After this meeting she went back to her course and I took the opportunity to sneak to Mariahilf for a quick shopping trip.

Since dear Planet Harry got a lot of good stuff this week, I went there to restock on the latest Star Trek Attack Wing products: two new wave, one OP Kit and the Weapon Zero single ship found a new home with me.

After that I went to Tasty Donuts for dessert for later.

Then it was time for Natsu and the weekly share of fish.

Back home we waited for my dear to come home before eating all the good fish.

Later that evening we watched tv series, one of each of Arrow, Agent Carter and Insert Name Here.

Gestern bin ich früher von der Arbeit gegangen, weil mein Schatz und ich noch einen Behördenweg bei der MA11 hatten. Nach diesem Termin ist sie wieder zu ihrem Kurs gefahren und ich habe mich noch schnell nach Mariahilf aufgemacht.

Nachdem der liebe Planet Harry wieder viel good stuff hatte, bin ich einen Tag zu früh schon in die Star Trek Attack Wing "Kiste" gefallen: zwei neue Waves, ein OP Kit und die neue Weapon Zero Großfigur haben einen neuen Besitzer gefunden.

Danach ging es zu Tasty Donuts, wo ich uns allen Nachspeise besorgt habe.

Und dann zum Natsu für die wöchentliche Fischportion.

Wieder zuhause haben wir dann auf meinen Schatz gewartet um gemeinsam zu Abend zu essen.

Am späteren Abend gab es dann wieder Serienspaß mit jeweils einer Folge Arrow, Agent Carter und Insert Name Here.

Why, oh why you ask?

Yesterday our japanes guest was suddenly home. Although we were certain that he had his monthly meeting with friends from the AFS, this supposedly didn't take place and so he came home hungry. To tell us in advance and let us plan accordingly is obviously too much to ask of him. Also my question as to why he didn't tell us, was too much for him to answer. So he had to cook his own dinner and later I had to clean up the mess to make the kitchen habitable again.

After that the daily german torture with "crimbing on trees" began, so I couldn't try out the newly released XCOM 2 as I had planned. Let's just hope that he going to his "draining" today and we have some quite time in the evening.

After that was finished we went onto the couch and watched one episode each of The Flash and Agent Carter.

Gestern war unser Japaner auf einmal überraschend zu Hause. Eigentlich hätte er den monatlichen Stammtisch mit seinen Freunden vom AFS gehabt, aber nachdem dieser scheinbar nicht stattgefunden hat, ist er hungrig nach Hause gekommen. Auf die Idee uns vorher Bescheid zu geben ist er nicht gekommen und auch die Frage danach hat er nicht verstanden. So hat er sich dann sein Abendessen selber kochen dürfen und ich dann später die Küche wieder bewohnbar machen können.

Danach folgte die tägliche Deutsch-Qual mit "auf Bäume krettern" und "Förster am Finger haben", sodass auch meiner geplanten XCOM 2 Session nichts geworden ist. Hoffentlich geht er wirklich heute zu "Dräning" und wir haben etwas Ruhe am Abend.

Danach ging es auf die Couch zu jeweils einer Folge The Flash und Agent Carter.

Lunar festival is over - now it's time for valentine

Yesterday after work I started to work on the remaining tasks of the Lunar festival in Guild Wars 2. It was the last day and I was just in time, because the update that came afterwards was very early. So now we have more than 600 lanterns to decorate the guild hall with - private lantern festival anyone?

When our japanese guest came home it was german course shouting time on the couch again.

After that was over we also went onto the couch and watched one episode of Agent Carter before we all went to bed dead tired.

Gestern bin ich nach der Arbeit zuhause in Guild Wars 2 aktiv gewesen. Es war der letzte Tag des Lunar Festivals und ich habe noch schnell die restlichen Festivalaktivitäten abgeschlossen und gut war es, denn das Update kam früher als gedacht und jetzt hat unsere Gilde über 600 Laternen zum Dekorieren - demnächst ein Laternenfest gefällig?

Unser Japaner war dann auch bald zuhause und hat uns wieder mit seinem Deutschkurs laut redend im Wohnzimmer beglückt.

Nachdem das vorbei war, ging es auf die Couch und wir haben uns eine Folge von Agent Carter weiter angeschaut bevor wir alle müde ins Bett gefallen sind.

Anger management needed

Yesterday evening was again rather unrelaxed for me. After some long meeting at work I came home late just to find our japanese guest starting his german course - behind me in the living room. Although I had some work to do, he didn't mind. And since he was constantly distracted my his chats I had to sit behind him for one hour to make sure he did just learn german and not having a chat once in a while. Afterwards, when confronted with his learning/chatting issues, he told me that he wasn't chatting, but the chat windows just popped up every now and then. The hint, that you can actually turn these thing off, was just answered by a short "really?".

Frustrated with the situation ever once more, he then was rewarded by us sitting on the couch and watching two episodes of Agent Carter. After that it was time to go to bed angry, my work will be certainly done at some other time...

Gestern Abend war wieder ein anstrengender Feierabend. Nach einem längeren Meeting in der Arbeit bin ich nach Hause gekommen nur um unseren Japaner zu erleben wie er wieder seinen Deutschkurs demonstrativ im Wohnzimmer gemacht hat. Eigentlich wollte ich ja etwas am Computer machen, aber nachdem er sich immer wieder durch Chats "ablenken" ließ, bin ich eben eine Stunde hinter ihm gesessen. Der Hinweis danach, dass er doch während dem Lernen nicht chatten soll wurde dadurch außer Kraft zu setzen versucht, dass er ja eh nicht gechattet hätte, sondern dass das Chat Fenster sich immer wieder eingeblendet hätte. Die Aussage von mir, dass man das auch abdrehen kann wurde nur mit einem "really?" beantwortet.

Wieder mehr frustriert, weil ich nicht das machen konnte was ich wollte, wurde er dann auch anschließend belohnt, dadurch dass wir auf die Couch gegangen sind und uns zwei Folgen von Agent Carter angeschaut haben. Einigermaßen angefressen bin ich dann schlafen gegangen und mach meine Arbeit halt irgendwann...

The Great Bake Off

Yesterday it was baking time again and I decided to do a simple brownie recipe. For that reason I first went shopping and afterwards entertained the cats so that I could bake without interruptions.

After that my dear and myself went again to The Secret World before we went onto the couch to watch yet again something new, a celebrity version the Bake Off - The Great Comic Relief Bake Off - followed by the last episode of season 1 of Marvel's Agent Carter.

Gestern war wieder Backen angesagt und ich habe mich für ein einfaches Brownie Rezept entschieden. Dazu bin ich vorher noch einkaufen gegangen und habe mich dann mit den Katzen beschäftigt, damit ein Backen überhaupt möglich war.

Danach ging es dann mit meinem Schatz in The Secret World bevor es wieder auf die Couch zu den Serien ging. Diesmal wieder etwas Neues, nachdem es ein Promi-Bake Off gab - The Great Comic Relief Bake Off - und danach die letzte Folge der ersten Staffel von Marvel's Agent Carter.

Quite evening at home

Yesterday I was at my parents' for the weekly dinner and some nice pancakes.

After that I went home and at first entertained the cats and afterwards did the dailies and festival activities in Guild Wars 2.

Then I watched some episodes of Gotham, since my dear doesn't want to watch that and she was with a friend this evening.

The conclusion of the evening was an episode of Marvel's Agent Carter we watched together.

Gestern war ich wieder bei meinen Eltern zur dieswöchigen Palatschinkenstunde.

Anschließend wieder zuhause habe ich mich zunächst um die Mieze-Katzen gekümmert und habe mich dann mit den Dailies und Festival Aktivitäten in Guild Wars 2 beschäftigt.

Danach habe ich mir ein paar Folgen von Gotham angeschaut, nachdem mein Schatz sich nicht dafür interessiert und sie auch bei einer Freundin war.

Den Abschluss des Abends hat dann eine gemeinsame Episode von Marvel's Agent Carter auf der Couch dargestellt.

Exciting day

Yesterday I was at work for only a short period of time, because at noon a was at the hospital to talk about the results from my stay for my sleeping disorder. There was nothing new to report, so the diagnosis is still valid. Now it was time to talk about options and there were two of them. First I could get an operation rather soon and the second one is wearing a mask while sleeping. The second option and resulting examiniations will make me wait another 8 months - so I'm quite pleased (no, I'm not) that I pay for health care that is delivered sometime later.

After that we went to the inner city to Koi for lunch. It was execellent again and we even had a celebrity sitting next to us - Andreas Gabalier.

Afterwards we went home, from where I worked the rest of the afternoon.

Then I baked the sweet treat of the week - an almond cake.

IN the evening I played some Magic 2015 and Guild Wars 2 before going onto the couch and watching the recent episodes of The Flash and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Gestern war ich nur kurz in der Arbeit, weil ich zu Mittag die Befundbesprechung vom Schlaflabor hatte. Dort gab es allerdings nichts Neues zu berichten, die Diagnose ist immer noch dieselbe und ich habe jetzt die Wahl zwischen einer korrektiven Operation und einer Schlafmaske. Ersteres sollte relativ rasch möglich sein und zweiteres bzw. ein Kontrolltermin hat wieder eine Wartezeit von 8 Monaten - da freut man sich doch, dass man Geld für das Gesundheitssystem zahlen darf und die Leistung irgendwann erbracht wird.

Danach sind wir dann in die Innenstadt zum Koi essen gegangen. Es war wie immer gut und wir hatte sogar einen prominenten Tischnachbarn - Andreas Gabalier.

Danach ging es nach Hause, von wo aus ich dann den restlichen Nachmittag gearbeitet habe.

Dann habe ich die Süßspeise der Woche gebacken - einen Mandelkuchen.

Am Abend haben ich dann wieder Magic 2015 und Guild Wars 2 gespielt bevor es auf die Couch ging zu den aktuellen Folgen von The Flash und Marvel's Agent Carter.

Not too busy afternoon

Yesterday we tested some more games, although not board games but rather card games on the PC, as we were going through the latest Humble Bundle games.

After that there was a long playing session with our cats before I did my dailies in Guild Wars 2 and then it was couch time again.

We watched the latest episodes of Arrow and Marvel's Agent Carter.

Gestern sind wir am Abend zuhause wieder zusammen gesessen und haben ein paar Spiele ausprobiert. Allerdings keine Brettspiele sondern ein paar der Kartenspiele für den PC aus dem aktuellen Humble Bundle.

Nach einer ausgiebigen Spielesession mit den Katzen habe ich dann noch meine Dailies in Guild Wars 2 absolviert und dann sind wir auf die Couch gefallen.
