The caribbean is free again

Yesterday everything finally went according to plan. When I came home the cats waited already for me but were not that annoying so that the feeding went quite civilized.

After that I did some chores and during dinner I did some dailies in Guild Wars 2. The rest of the evening I spent in the caribbean to finish the story line of Assassin's Creed 4.

Gestern ist endlich einmal alles nach Plan verlaufen. Als ich wieder nach Hause gekommen bin haben mich schon zwei hungrige Katzen erwartet, die aber nicht so insistent waren, sodass die Fütterung in geplanten Bahnen ablaufen konnte.

Danach ging es daran etwas Hausarbeit zu erledigen und während dem Abendessen habe ich dann ein paar Dailies in Guild Wars 2 erledigt. Den Rest des Abends war ich dann wieder in der Karibik bei Assassin's Creed 4 um endgültig den Story Modus zu beenden.

Baking yet again

Yesterday after work we were doing a quick shopping run beause I decided to bake yet again. The recipe I choose was an exotic swiss roll from the The Great British Bake Off and it was perfectly done.

After that I played a bit of Assassin's Creed 4 before the evening entertainment switched to James May's Man Lab.

The pussy cat really is tiiiiiiiiiired.

Gestern nach der Arbeit waren wir noch schnell einkaufen weil ich noch was backen wollte. Als Rezept habe ich mir eine exotische Biskuitroulade von The Great British Bake Off ausgesucht und diese ist uns perfekt gelungen.

Danach habe ich ein wenig in Assassin's Creed 4 gespielt bevor es zur Abendunterhaltung Marke James May's Man Lab über gegangen ist.

A quite sunday

Yesterday I wasn't able to sleep that long so I decided to bake us some scones for breakfast. It was pre-mixed but it finally worked and tasted great.

While having our breakfast we played Baldur's Gate 2 and Assassin's Creed 4.

I spent the afternoon playing - alternating with the cats and on the PC - while my dear war visiting her mother in hospital again.

In the evening we had the rest of the food from the day before and it still tasted great. After that we went onto the couch and watched old epsiodes of James May's Man Lab and QI.

The tom cat is so quick on his way to his food that the camera can't keep up.

Gestern habe ich nicht so lange schlafen können also habe ich schnell Scones fürs Frühstück gebacken. Ok, es war von einer Backmischung, aber diesmal haben sie endlich mal geklappt.

So haben wir uns ein gutes Frühstück gemacht und dabei Baldur's Gate 2 bzw. Assassin's Creed 4 gespielt.

Den Nachmittag haben ich dann spielend mit Katzen und PC verbracht, während mein Schatz wieder bei ihrer Mutter im Spital war.

Am Abend gab es dann Reste vom Vortag, die aber immer noch sehr gut waren. Danach ging es auf die Couch und wir haben uns wieder eine Folge von James May's Man Lab und QI angeschaut.

Tropical baking again

Yesterday I was at my parent's for dinner and that was a great cream cheese strudel in vanilla sauce.

Then I went home, where our cats already awaited me. My dear was meeting with some friends of hers, while I was doing the weekly bake for work. This time it was the recipe we already did together earlier this week: Tropical Manchester Tart taken from The Great British Bake Off. The base worked better this time and the result is quite nice to look at - and hopefully to eat as well.

After that I went online with Guild Wars 2 and did the weekly WvW achievement on another account. I decided to go back to the caribbean after that and hunted down some pirate hunters - a strategy I learned from the the first time I played the game. Those hunters are kind enough to come to me and they have a lot more loot than other ships of their size. All you need is a bad reputation and the follow you around almost all the time.

The conclusion of the evening was the most recent episode of The Great British Bake Off where the topic this week was pastries - sweet and savoury.

The pussy cat has become quite fond of the big screen in our living room recently.

Gestern war ich bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen und habe einen guten Topfenstrudel in Vanillesauce bekommen.

Danach ging es nach Hause wo mich schon die Katzen erwartet haben. Mein Schatz hat sich dann mit ein paar Freundinnen getroffen, während ich zuhause das Backwerk der Woche gemacht habe. Es handelt sich ein da Capo der Tropical Manchester Tart von The Great British Bake Off, welches wir schon mehr oder weniger erfolgreich diese Woche gemeinsam fabriziert hatten. Der Boden ist mir diesmal besser gelungen und das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen - und hoffentlich auch essen.

Danach war ich ein wenig in Guild Wars 2 unterwegs und habe mit einem weiteren Account das weekly WvW Achievement abgeholt. Dann bin ich allerdings wieder in die Karibik gewechselt und haben Jagd auf die Piratenjäger gemacht - eine Strategie, die ich schon beim ersten Mal durchspielen erdeckt hatte, da diese Schiffe am besten beladen sind und sich netterweise gleich direkt zum Abschuss freigeben und mich sogar verfolgen, wenn man einen gewissen schlechten Ruf bekommen hat.

Den Abschluss des Abends hat dann die aktuelle Folge von The Great British Bake Off gemacht wo es um Pastries ging - sowohl süße als auch pikante.

Die Mieze ist seit kurzer Zeit auch ein Bewunderer der Leinwand geworden.

Caribbean baking

Yesterday after work I went for a quick shopping trip, because my dearie and me decided to try and bake one of the recipes of The Great British Bake Off show and the ingredients are quite exotic. Back home I then spent some time in the caribbean with Assassin's Creed 4 before starting to bake together with my darling.

We manage to do the tarte quite well, except for the base. The whole thing was quite time consuming, but I might do a simple version of the recipe for this week's bake for Thursday.

The rest of the evening we spent on the couch watching the current episodes of Would I Lie To You? and The Great British Bake Off.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit noch schnell einkaufen, weil mein Schatz und ich versucht haben eine Tarte aus der The Great British Bake Off Serie nachzubacken und dazu relativ exotische Zutaten benötigt wurden. Zuhause dann habe ich mich wieder ein bisschen in der Karibik in Assassin's Creed 4 herumgetrieben bevor es ans Back-Werk gegangen ist.

Die Tarte ist uns, bis auf den Boden, recht gut gelungen auch wenn das Ganze ein Heidenaufwand gewesen ist. Möglicherweise werde ich dieses Rezept vereinfacht für den Donnerstag noch einmal backen, man wird sehen.

Den Abend haben wir dann mit jeweils einer aktuellen Folge von Would I Lie To You? und The Great British Bake Off beschlossen.

A sunday with (too) much food

Yesterday we went to have lunch with my parents after have a quick breakfast at home. At Gschamsten Diener we had some great duck with dumpling and red cabbage, but quite so much that we didn't want to eat anything for the rest of the day.

Afterwards we went to visit my mother-in-law at the hospital and then went on to go home with a quick stop at Westbahnhof to look up the latest magazines. The food and the visit at the hospital made me a bit sick so I went to bed when we returned home. After some time I got up again and played with the cats to compensate them for the day before.

After a short trip to the caribbean with Assassin's Creed 4 we went onto the couch.

This time there were two brand new episodes to watch, one of each Doctor Who and The Great British Bake Off.

Gestern sind wir kurz nach dem Frühstück mit meinen Eltern zum Gschamsten Diener Mittagessen gegangen. Es gab sehr gute Ente mit Knödel und Rotkraut, sodass wir dann auch den Rest des Tages nichts mehr essen wollten.

Anschließend haben wir meine Schwiegermutter im Spital besucht und sind dann über den Westbahnhof nach Hause gefahren. Das viele Essen und auch der Krankenhausbesuch haben mir etwas zugesetzt und so war mir dann am Nachmittag wirklich schlecht, sodass ich mich niederlegen musste. Nach einiger Zeit ging es dann wieder und dann haben wir die Katzen bespasst.

Nach einem kurzen Ausflug in die Karibik mit Assassin's Creed 4 sind wir dann aber auf die Couch gefallen.

Es gab zwei neue Episoden und zwar jeweils eine von Doctor Who und von The Great British Bake Off.

An exhausting friday

Yesterday afternoon was going rather slowly. After work I went home and since I didn't feel too good I decided to lay down a bit. The cats were kinf enough to let me sleep and so I stood up quite late. Still there was enough time to go to Mariahilf - but only to shop at Planet Harry.

Afterwards I went to Natsu for our dinner and to Blutaumüller for today's breakfast.

Back home I was ambushed by hungry cats and we all ate suhsi. For the evening entertainment at first I played a bit of Assassin's Creed 4 and then we went onto the couch to watch one episode of The Great British Bake Off.

Am gestrigen Freitag ging es zunächst ein wenig langsamer an. Nach der Arbeit bin ich nach Hause gekommen und habe mich nicht so sonderlich gut gefühlt und habe mich daher "etwas" hingelegt. Die Katzen haben mir Ruhe gegeben und so bin ich dann relativ spät wieder aufgestanden. Da es noch nicht zu spät war, bin ich noch nach Mariahilf - aber nur zum Planet Harry - gefahren.

Danach ging es zum Natsu uns aller Abendessen einzukaufen und zum Blutaumüller für unser heutiges Frühstück.

Wieder zuhause wurde ich schon von der hungrigen Meute erwartet und wir haben unsere Sushi gegessen. Als Abendgestaltung habe ich zunächst Assassin's Creed 4 gespielt und dann sind wir für eine Folge The Great British Bake Off auf die Couch gefallen.

Back in the Caribbean

Yesterday I was at my parent's for dinner, the great meal: plum dumplings.

Afterwards I went home and went out again for shopping for the weekly baking. Unfortunately I decided to buy some peppermint chocolate, which proved to be a mistake later.

Back home I did the laundry and played with our cats. Then I started baking and this week I was going to make chocolate heaps. But instead of the pure dark chocolate I cleverly decided to use peppermint one to give it a little extra taste. Unforunately they now taste like cough drops with menthol. Well, let's see how popular they are here at work.

Afterwards I went to Guild Wars 2 for my dailies and then got sucked back to the Caribbeanb with Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag. Although I almost finished it on the PS3, I'm starting again on the PC. It's really fun to watch Edward Kenway become a master assassin and I try to avoid mistakes from the first play-through.

The conclusion of the evening was an episode of The Great British Bake Off - the topic his time was biscuits.

Gestern war ich bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen, die köstliche Speise: Zwetschkenknödel.

Danach bin ich nach Hause gefahren und noch schnell für das wöchentlichen Backen einkaufen gegangen. Leider habe ich mich mitreißen lassen Pfefferminz-Schokolade zu kaufen, was sich dann später als Fehler herausgestellt hat.

Wieder zuhause habe ich mich dann um die Wäsche gekümmert und die Katzen bespasst. Dann ging es ans Backen und es sollten Schokolade-Häufchen werden. Da ich aber die Pfefferminz-Schokolade statt normaler dunkler Schokolade genommen habe schmeckt das Ganze jetzt wie ein Hustenbonbon, nämlich extrem nach Menthol. Na ja, mal schauen wie sie heute in der Firma ankommen.

Danach habe ich mich dann wieder ein wenig nach Guild Wars 2 begeben, aber mehr als die Dailies habe ich dann nicht gemacht, weil mich dann der Ruf der Karibik eingeholt hat und ich Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag am PC zu spielen begonnen habe. Ich hatte es zwar schon auf der PS3 fast fertig - und leider kann man den Spielstand nicht übernehmen - aber es macht Spaß Edward Kenway in seinen Schritten erneut zu begleiten und vielleicht mache ich diesmal ein paar Fehler weniger.

Zu Schluss des Abends haben wir und dann eine Folge von The Great British Bake Off angeschaut - Thema diesmal Biscuits.
