So this is the new year you say...

The first day of the new year started with us sleeping in. After that we did some of the chores to start the day.

For lunch I wanted to make us waffles, but our two waffle machines had other plans. So at first they spit out most of the dough and the rest burned inside the waffle machines. Instead I made pancakes from the rest of the dough and had to clean up half the kitchen after the mess.

My dear spent the afternoon playing WoW with friends and later in the evening I took part in the latest edition of the Beyond the Vale: After Dark podcast.

Later still we went onto the couch to get disappointed by the current Doctor Who Ney Year's episode.

Der ersten Tag des neuen Jahres haben wir damit begonnen lange auszuschlafen. Danach ging es ein bisschen an die Hausarbeit.

Zu Mittag wollte ich uns Waffeln machen, aber die beiden Waffeleisen hatten anderes vor. Also ist der Teig aus den Eisen herausgelaufen und der klägliche Rest dann innen angebrannt. So gab es dann den restlichen Teig als quasi Palatschinken zum Essen und ich hatte die halbe Küche zum Putzen.

Mein Schatz war am Nachmittag in WoW unterwegs und am Abend habe ich dann am Beyond the Vale: After Dark Podcast teilgenommen.

Noch etwas später sind wir dann auf die Couch gefallen und haben uns von der aktuellen Doctor Who Neujahrfolge enttäuschen lassen.

The usual after christmas activities

Yesterday noon we went out to lunch with my parents and my aunt and uncle.

After that we visited my parents house and there we got inspected by the neighbour's cat.

Back home we played a game of The Dragon & Flagon.

And in the evening we had Christmas pudding with custard and the Christmas episode of Doctor Who.

Gestern waren wir zu Mittag mit meinen Eltern und mit meiner Tante und meinem Onkel essen.

Danach haben wir sie noch im Haus besucht und dort hat uns die Nachbarskatze überrascht begutachtet.

Wieder zuhause haben wir dann eine Partie The Dragon & Flagon gespielt.

Und am Abend dann gab es Christmas Pudding mit Custard und der Weihnachtsfolge von Doctor Who.

Birthday feast

This saturday we celebrated my mother-in-laws birthday at Klaghofer.

In the afternoon we were just stuffed and exhausted, but the chores had to be done as well - after which we just fell into bed and we had to relax.

In the evening it was time for couch surfing again - including the latest episode of Doctor Who.

Am Samstag haben wir den Geburtstag meiner Schwiegermutter beim Klaghofer gefeiert.

Am Nachmittag waren wir nur mehr voll und fertig - trotzdem musst der Haushalt gemacht werden und danach sind wir einfach nur mehr umgekippt.

Am Abend dann war wieder Couchsurfen angesagt - unter anderem mit der aktuellen Folge von Doctor Who.

Zombies and a certain Doctor

This saturday it would have been Free RPG Day, but Planet Harry didn't get the packages in time, so we'll have one in two weeks time instead.

That's why we didn't have much stress preparing for the afternoon boardgame session with friends. We played Zombicide: Black Plague and once won spectacular and one time we just lost horribly.

After our guests have gone, we just went onto the couch and watched the latest episode of Doctor Who.

Am Samstag wäre Free RPG Day gewesen, aber bei Planet Harry sind die Pakete noch nicht angekommen gewesen. Daher wird das in zwei Wochen nachgeholt.

Deswegen haben wir uns auch keinen Stress machen müssen, da am Nachmittag Freunde von uns zum Brettspielen vorbeigekommen sind. Wir haben dann Zombicide: Black Plague gespielt und einmal glorreich gewonnen und einmal nicht so glorreich sondern ziemlich heftig verloren.

Nachdem die Gäste gegangen waren sind wir dann noch auf die Couch gefallen und haben die aktuelle Folge von Doctor Who geschaut.

Still lazy on the weekend

This saturday we slept longer and after breakfast we went shopping on the farmer's market. Then we went to Sichaun for lunch.

Since my dear had some work to do for her studies, I did some chores and then baked something as well as creating some hazelnut icecream.

In the evening we went to watch the latest Doctor Who episode before we went to bed.

Am Samstag sind wir nach längerem Schlafen und Frühstück zum Markt einkaufen gegangen. Danach ging es zum Mittagessen ins Sichaun.

Nachdem mein Schatz viel für die Uni zu erledigen hatte, habe ich am Nachmittag Hausarbeit erledigt und habe dann noch etwas gebacken und ein Haselnusseis gemacht.

Am Abend ging es dann zur aktuellen Doctor Who Folge auf die Couch bevor wir schlafen gegangen sind.

Following the path again

This saturday we first went grocery shopping and I got the ingredients for the Mother's day trifle.

In the afternoon we had a blast with friends playing Path of Exile again.

Later I started with the first layers of the trifle.

Meanwhile the cats we happily sleeping on the couch, pussy cat even built her own sleeping cave of sorts.

In the evening it was time for tv shows again, including the latest episode of Doctor Who.

Am Samstag sind wir zunächst einkaufen gefahren und ich habe mir die Zutaten für das geplante Muttertagstrifle gekauft.

Am Nachmittag waren wir dann mit Freunden länger in Path of Exile unterwegs und hatten viel Spaß dabei.

Später dann habe ich mit den ersten Schichten vom Trifle angefangen.

Währenddessen haben die Katzen glücklich auf der Couch geschlafen, die Mieze sogar in einer Art selbstgebauten Höhle.

Am Abend gab es dann wieder Serien, unter anderem die neueste Folge von Doctor Who.

Saturday - with a hint of horror

This saturday we first went grocery shopping and then had a nice and relaxing day at home - this of course included the cats.

In the afternoon we played a game of Arkham Horror: The Card Game and we started with the Dunwich Horror.

In the evening we had the christmas pudding from last christmas and watched the latest Doctor Who episode.

Am Samstag sind wir zunächst einkaufen gegangen und haben uns dann einen gemütlichen Tag zuhause gemacht - die Katzen inklusive.

Am Nachmittag haben wir dann Arkham Horror: The Card Game gespielt und mit dem Dunwich Horror begonnen.

Am Abend gab es dann den Christmas Pudding von letzten Weihnachten und eine Folge Doctor Who dazu.

Marathon? No thanks!

Yesterday there was the annual Vienna City Marathon, but since I was not feeling well and my dear had work to do we refrained from being support crew and stayed home. We did meet with our runner friends in the evening for dinner at eatalico though.

Afterwards we went home again and onto the couch to watch the latest episode of Doctor Who.

Gestern war der Vienna City Marathon, aber nachdem mein Kreislauf nicht wirklich mitgespielt hat und wir auch nicht so richtig motiviert waren, haben wir nicht Support-Crew gespielt sondern sind dann nur am Abend gemeinsam Abendessen im eatalico gegangen.

Busy saturday

On saturday I had a lot to do. In the morning I went grocery shopping for the things we needed during the easter weekend.

Then I went to my parents' house, but on the way I stopped at a friends' to help with her computer troubles. and I brought her the cat calendar for 2017.

At my parents I fixed the next computer troubles, got a nice lunch and changed the tires of our car together with my father.

On my way back home I picked up my dear from her sewing afternoon and once we were home we went onto the couch and watched some tv series - including the latest episode of Doctor Who, which almost slipped by us unnoticed.

Am Samstag hatte ich viel vor. In der Früh war ich noch schnell das notwendigste einkaufen.

Danach habe ich mich auf den Weg zum Haus meiner Eltern gemacht, auf dem Weg dorthin gleich einer lieben Freundin mit ihren Computerproblemen geholfen und die Katzenkalender für 2017 vorbei gebracht.

Bei meinen Eltern dann haben ich die nächsten Computerprobleme gelöst, ein Mittagessen bekommen und zusammen mit meinem Vater die Autoreifen getauscht.

Am Heimweg habe ich dann meinen Schatz vom Nähnachmittag abgeholt und wir sind dann zuhause nur mehr auf die Couch gefallen und haben Serien geschaut - unter anderen die neuste Folge von Doctor Who die fast unbemerkt an mir vorbei gegangen wäre.

Christmas Who?

The day after christmas we had our traditional lunch with my family. This time we tried out a new restaurant and the food was very good and plenty.

Afterwards we went home and had to relax from all the food. In the evening it was BBC christmas time including the latest Doctor Who episode.

Am Tag nach Weihnachten haben wir mit meiner Familie das ebenfalls traditionelle Mittagessen eingenommen. Diesmal waren wir in einem neuen Lokal und das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich.

Danach ging es dann wieder nach Hause und wir haben uns dann vom vielen Essen ausgeruht. Am Abend gab es dann die aktuellen BBC Serien zu Weihnachten inklusive dem neuen Doctor Who.

The Doctor is in the house

Yesterday after work I still had much to do. First I went to the flat of our friends to water their plants. After that I went to Hofer to buy the latest bargain PC for both my father and father-in-law for their birthdays. Afterward I went home and out again to the post office and for grocery shopping.

Once all that was done, I just collapsed at home and did some routine stuff. The cats really liked the new PC I bought.

In the evening we fell onto the couch and played the newly acquired Doctor Who level for LEGO Dimensions - travelling through time and kicking some Dalek butt in the process, what's not to love?

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit noch viel unterwegs. Zunächst in der Wohnung unserer Freunde Blumen gießen. Danach ging es zum Hofer um den aktuellen PC sowohl für meinen Vater als auch Schwiegervater zum Geburtstag zu besorgen. Dann ging es nach Hause und gleich wieder weg zur Post und zum Einkaufen.

Nachdem das alles erledigt war, bin ich zuhause nur mal umgefallen und haben noch allfälliges erledigt. Die Katzen haben die PCs aber auch gleich ins Herz geschlossen.

Am Abend sind wir dann auf die Couch gefallen und haben das neue Doctor Who Level von LEGO Dimensions gespielt - durch die Zeit reisen und Daleks verdreschen, was will man mehr?

Seasons are starting again

Yesterday my dear made me an early birthday present: the Doctor Who level pack for LEGO Dimensions. I started playing it a bit, but I guess we both will be playing the whole thing rather soon.

After that it was early couch time, where we at first watched the current episode of The Great British Bake Off, followed by the season starter episodes of Scream Queens, Lucifer and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Gestern habe ich von meinem Schatz ein Vor-Geburtstagsgeschenk bekommen: das Doctor Who Level Pack für LEGO Dimensions. Ich hab es dann nur kurz angespielt, aber ich denke das wird schon bald zum Einsatz kommen.

Danach ging es vorzeitig auf die Couch, wo wir uns zunächst die aktuelle Folge von The Great British Bake Off angeschaut haben, gefolgt von den Folgen zum neuen Staffelanfang von Scream Queens, Lucifer und Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Some kind of sport

Yesterday in the evening we went to UCI Milleniumcity, but not for a movie - we went to play billard. Since there was also an unoccupied snooker table it was snooker for me for the whole two hours. Although I was way out of practice, I really enjoyed playing again!

When we came back home, the cats wanted to be entertained and fed.

After that was done, we went onto the couch and played the Doctor Who story level of LEGO Dimensions - Allons-y!

Gestern waren wir am Abend wieder in der UCI Milleniumcity, allerdings nicht um ins Kino zu gehen, sondern wir waren Billard spielen. Nachdem es auch einen (freien) Snooker Tisch gab, war ich nicht zu halten und ich habe die zwei Stunden dort verspielt. Obwohl ich sehr außer Übung war, hat es mir doch gut gefallen!

Als wir wieder zuhause angekommen sind, haben uns die Katzen schon erwartet und wurden von uns bespasst und gefüttert.

Danach sind wir auf die Couch gefallen und haben das Doctor Who Story Level von LEGO Dimensions gespielt - Allons-y!

Doctor Who's Timetrip

Yesterday, after a much longer training day, I quickly went to my parents for dinner. I got tasty pancakes.

After that I went home and quickly logged through Guild Wars 2 - Lunar festival is back! - and after that we went onto the couch and watched a complete Doctor Who episode from the 70s on BBC. Well, me and pussy-cat slept through most of the episode, but...

Gestern war ich nach einem etwas länger dauernden Kurstag noch schnell bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen. Es gab wieder gute Palatschinken.

Danach ging es nach Hause und dort habe ich dann nur mehr schnell durch Guild Wars 2 durchgeloggt - das Lunar Festival hat wieder begonnen! - und wir sind dann auf die Couch gegangen, wo wir uns eine komplette Doctor Who Folge aus den 70er Jahren auf BBC angeschaut haben. Ok, die Katze und ich haben das meiste verschlafen, aber trotzdem...

Quiet saturday

Yesterday I was home alone, since my dear went to av advent market with friends and our japanese guest has a christmas camp. So I took care of my self and the cats - yes, we all still are alive! - and spent the day doing chores, shopping and playing Guild Wars 2.

In the evening, when all were back again, we watched Arrow and Mysteries of Laura, followed by the last episode of the season of Doctor Who.

Gestern hatte ich sturmfreie Bude, weil mein Schatz mit Freunden auf einem Adventmarkt war und unser japanische Gast bei einem Weihnachtscamp. Daher habe ich mich und die Katzen allein versorgt - ja, wir leben alle noch! - und den Tag mit Hausarbeit, einkaufen und Guild Wars 2 spielen verbracht.

Beute - ich habe "ein paar" Craftbiere von Supermarkt besorgt

Am Abend, als alle wieder da waren, haben wir dann Arrow und Mysteries of Laura geschaut, gefolgt von der letzten Folge Doctor Who der aktuellen Staffel.

Relaxing sunday

Although we were up quite early - at 6:00 - because our japanese guest was going to Salzburg by train, we spent the rest of the day quite relaxed. After he was gone we went back to bed of course and the cats were kind enough - they already received their breakfast - to let us sleep until 11:00.

During breakfast we played some Guild Wars 2 and the rest of the day we spent reading und relaxing.

In the evening we watched some BBC, the most recent episodes of Doctor Who and QI.

Obwohl wir ziemlich früh - um 6:00 Uhr - aufgestanden sind, weil unser Japaner mit dem Zug nach Salzburg gefahren ist, haben wir den Rest des Tages recht gut verbracht. Wir haben uns natürlich wieder hingelegt und die Katzen waren auch - ob des erhaltenen Frühstücks - uns gegenüber gnädig und haben uns bis 11:00 schlafen lassen.

Zum Frühstück haben wir dann ein wenig Guild Wars 2 gespielt und den Rest des Tages lesend und relaxend verbracht.

Am Abend haben wir dann wieder auf BBC geschaut und zwar die aktuellen Folgen von Doctor Who und QI.

Vienna Comic Con

On saturday we didn't sleep that long because we wanted to leave for the first Vienna Comic Con early. The pictures we took will be online in the next few days.

We weren't very surprised about the amount of people went to the con, but we also weren't convinced that the rather high entrance fee was worth it. After about 3 hours - incl. a 45 minute Doctor Who panel with Neve McIntosh - we had seen everything and went back home.

A short snackstop at eatalico was still possible.

Back home we went with The Grey in Guild Wars 2 for our very first raid experience and we looked at the mechanics. Afterwards they were kind enough to help us with acquiring our guild hall and so now we have a rather big meeting place for the guild, which will be upgraded over the next few weeks and month.

In the evening I tried once more to complete my Coursera course and did quite well until the very last task. So there's still hope that I make it before the deadline today.

Later we just watched the most current episode of Doctor Who on BBC before we went to bed.

Am Samstag haben wir nicht solange geschlafen weil wir relativ früh schon zur 1. Vienna Comic Con gegangen sind. Bilder dazu folgen in den nächsten Tagen.

Wir waren von den Menschenmassen und dem Dargebotenen nicht überrascht, aber auch nicht überzeugt, dass dies alles den relativ hohen Eintrittspreis gerechtfertigt hat. Nach ca. 3 Stunden - inkl. einem 45-minütigen Doctor Who Panel mit Neve McIntosh - hatten wir alles gesehen und waren dann wieder am Heimweg.

Einen kurzen Imbissstop gab es beim eatalico, wo wir unseren Hunger gestillt hatten.

Zuhause dann sind wir mit The Grey in Guild Wars 2 ins erste Raid gegangen und haben uns die Mechaniken angeschaut. Netterweise haben sie uns dann anschließend mit unserer Gildenhalle geholfen und somit hat unsere kleine Gilde jetzt einen Treffpunkt, der über die nächsten Wochen und Monate langsam ausgebaut wird.

Am Abend habe ich dann einmal mehr versucht den Coursera Kurs weiter zu machen und habe alles bis auf den letzten Punkt erledigt. Also es besteht noch Hoffnung, dass ich die Deadline einhalten kann.

Später dann gab es die aktuelle Folge von Doctor Who auf BBC bevor es Zeit fürs Bett war.

Vikings!

Yesterday we went with a friend to Schallaburg for a viking exhibition. Since taking photos wasn't easy, there are very little pictures to post.

In the evening we then played Diablo 3 together followed by the most recent episodes of Mock The Week and Doctor Who on BBC.

Gestern sind wir mit einer Freundin zur Schallaburg und zur Wikinger Ausstellung gefahren. Leider war innerhalt der Ausstellung das Fotografieren nicht wirklich möglich, daher gibt es nur wenige Bilder.

Am Abend haben wir dann gemeinsam Diablo 3 gespielt und später dann noch die aktuellen Folgen von Mock The Week und Doctor Who auf BBC geschaut.

English Christmas

Yesterday we were invited to the traditional Christmas lunch of my relatives.

After that we went home again and spent the afternoon playing yet another board game with our friend from Japan. This time we played the latest Pathfinder setting with pirates and ships.

The evening we then spent in a tradtional english way - with Doctor Who on BBC and for the first time ever a real Christmas pudding with custard.

Wir waren gestern zunächst bei meinen Verwandten zum Mittagessen - traditionelles Weihnachtsessen - eingeladen.

Danach ging es dann nach Hause, wo wir gemeinsam mit unserem japanischen Gast wieder ein bisschen gespielt haben - diesmal das neue Pathfinder Setting mit Piraten und Schiffen.

Am Abend dann war das große englische Weihnachtsfest mit Doctor Who auf BBC und einem echten Christmas Pudding mit Custard.

Doctor Who - The end?

On Saturday we stared slowly and after a good breakfast we went quickly shopping. After that it was chores and playing with the cats, so that everyone was happy about it. After that I played a bit of Guild Wars 2.

In the evening we watched the great season finale of Doctor Who and are now eager to see the Christmas special.

The pussy cat likes to play with her feather duster - this picture is part of a collection I will be sharing over the next week, since I could decide on just one of those photos.

Am Samstag sind wir es langsam an- und nach einem guten Frühstück kurz einkaufen gegangen. Danach wurde Hausarbeit gemacht und dann später ein wenig am Computer Guild Wars 2 gespielt. Zwischendurch wurden die Katzen auch ordentlich bespasst und so ist jeder auf seine Kosten gekommen.

Am Abend dann haben wir uns das fulminante Staffelende von Doctor Who angeschaut und sind jetzt gespannt auf das Weihnachstspecial.

Die Miezekatze beim Spielen mit dem Federwisch - das ist jetzt eine Bilderserie, die über die nächste Woche zu sehen ist, da ich mich nicht nur für ein Bild davon entscheiden konnte.
