Tiredly baking

Yesterday evening I was quite tired and exhausted and just did some dailies in Guild Wars 2. Then I started baking - some lemon tarlets.

When those were in the oven we went onto the couch and watched one episode each of James May's Man Lab and Forever.

Gestern Abend war ich sehr müde und bin daher nur ein wenig in Guild Wars 2 gewesen. Dann fing das Backen an - Lemon Tarlets.

Als die im Ofen waren, sind wir dann nur mehr auf die Couch gefallen und haben uns eine Folge von James May's Man Lab und die aktuelle von Forever angeschaut.

Guild Wars 2 - Point of No Return

Yesterday after work I went to my parents for dinner and is was again a great Kaiserschmarrn.

After that I went home and quickl helped a friend with her Wintersday achievements in Guild Wars 2. Just in time for the new update, which we then played afterwards for most of the evening and watched the great story resolve.

Later yet we went onto the couch and watched episodes of James May's Man Lab and Castle.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit bei meinen Eltern zum Abendessen und es gab köstlichen Kaiserschmarrn.

Danach ging es nach Hause und ich habe noch schnell einer Freundin mit den Wintersday Achievements in Guild Wars 2 geholfen. Gerade rechtzeitig, denn das neue Update war dann schon relativ früh da und wir haben dann den restlichen Abend die neue Story angeschaut.

Ganz später dann ging es noch auf die Couch und es gab eine Folge von James May's Man Lab und Castle.

It's time for holiday plans

Yesterday, after coming home from work, there was need to do more chores at home. After we finished doing this, the flat was again in a presentable state so we started with our evening program.

First we went to Guild Wars 2, the last chance to do some of the Wintersday festival stuff before the update today. Apart from one small missunderstanding with another player everything went fine though.

After that we started to put up the (drinking) fountain for our cats we got as a Christmas present from a friend. At first the new thing was quite dangerous but over time the cats were courageous enough to go near it - picture of this will be posted in the coming days.

The conclusion of the day was once again watching series on the couch. First up was the most recent episode of QI, followed by an old episode of James May's Man Lab and in the end we watched the first episode of James Nesbitt's Ireland, a short series about the beauties of the Emerald Island, which sparked some holidays planning on it's own.

Gestern war, nach dem Heimkommen aus der Arbeit, wieder weitere Hausarbeit angesagt. Nachdem das erledigt war und die Wohnung von wieder in einem annehmbaren Zustand gebracht wurde, haben wir uns dem Abendprogramm gewidmet.

Zunächst sind wir nach Guild Wars 2 gegangen um die Wintersday Festival Sachen zu einem Abschluss zu bringen. Dabei ging alles - bis auf ein blödes Missverständnis mit einem anderen Spieler - relativ glatt.

Danach haben wir endlich den (Trink)Brunnen, den wir von einer Freundin zu Weihnachten bekommen hatte, in Betrieb genommen. Die Katzen waren sehr interessiert und vorsichtig beim Inspizieren - Bilder dazu werden in den nächsten Tagen nachgereicht.

Den Abschluss des Tages haben dann wieder Serien gemacht. Zunächst die aktuelle Folge von QI, gefolgt von einer alten Folge von James May's Man Lab und zum Schluss die erste Folge von James Nesbitt's Ireland, einer kurzen Serie über Irland, was wieder zu Urlaubswünschen geführt hat.

Sleep is overrated - especially on the weekend

After spending the night at the sleep lab - with about 5 hours of total sleep incl. interruptions - I came home quite early and was greeted by two cats who wanted to be taken care of. After that I lay down myself to make up for some of my missing sleeping time.

In the afternoon we wanted to play some Star Trek Attack Wing, but other things came up and finally we stayed at Lord of the Rings Online for quite a bit instead.

The evening on the couch consisted of the last live show of Monty Pythons followed by one old episode each of James May's Man Lab and Top Gear before it was bed time again.

Nach der Nacht im Schlaflabor - mit ca. 5 Stunden Schlaf mit Unterbrechungen - bin ich sehr früh nach Hause gekommen und wurde von zwei Katzen empfangen, die gleich versorgt werden wollten. Danach habe ich mich dann hingelegt um den Schlaf der Nacht etwas nachzuholen.

Am Nachmittag wollten wir dann Star Trek Attack Wing spielen, sind aber von anderen Sachen abgelenkt worden und schlussendlich dann bei Lord of the Rings Online gelandet.

Die Abendbeschäftigung war diesmal schon früher dran und so haben wir uns dann zunächst die letzte Live Show der Monty Pythons angeschaut. Danach jeweils noch eine Folge von James May's Man Lab und Top Gear bevor es ins Bett ging.

Baking yet again

Yesterday after work we were doing a quick shopping run beause I decided to bake yet again. The recipe I choose was an exotic swiss roll from the The Great British Bake Off and it was perfectly done.

After that I played a bit of Assassin's Creed 4 before the evening entertainment switched to James May's Man Lab.

The pussy cat really is tiiiiiiiiiired.

Gestern nach der Arbeit waren wir noch schnell einkaufen weil ich noch was backen wollte. Als Rezept habe ich mir eine exotische Biskuitroulade von The Great British Bake Off ausgesucht und diese ist uns perfekt gelungen.

Danach habe ich ein wenig in Assassin's Creed 4 gespielt bevor es zur Abendunterhaltung Marke James May's Man Lab über gegangen ist.

A quite sunday

Yesterday I wasn't able to sleep that long so I decided to bake us some scones for breakfast. It was pre-mixed but it finally worked and tasted great.

While having our breakfast we played Baldur's Gate 2 and Assassin's Creed 4.

I spent the afternoon playing - alternating with the cats and on the PC - while my dear war visiting her mother in hospital again.

In the evening we had the rest of the food from the day before and it still tasted great. After that we went onto the couch and watched old epsiodes of James May's Man Lab and QI.

The tom cat is so quick on his way to his food that the camera can't keep up.

Gestern habe ich nicht so lange schlafen können also habe ich schnell Scones fürs Frühstück gebacken. Ok, es war von einer Backmischung, aber diesmal haben sie endlich mal geklappt.

So haben wir uns ein gutes Frühstück gemacht und dabei Baldur's Gate 2 bzw. Assassin's Creed 4 gespielt.

Den Nachmittag haben ich dann spielend mit Katzen und PC verbracht, während mein Schatz wieder bei ihrer Mutter im Spital war.

Am Abend gab es dann Reste vom Vortag, die aber immer noch sehr gut waren. Danach ging es auf die Couch und wir haben uns wieder eine Folge von James May's Man Lab und QI angeschaut.

Friday shopping

After work I went home for a quick stop yesterday to feed the cats. Since my dear was away at her mother in the hospital I had to get my lunch on my way. But first I went to Xocolat to buy a voucher for Harry as a birthday gift. After that I went to Audiamo to buy a new audiobook and then went on to mySchnitzel where I finally got my well deserved lunch.

Well fed I went on to Planet Harry where I bought a new game - Pix - which looked quite interesting. On my way back home I stopped at Natsu for some fish on rice for the cats and ourself as dinner and when returning home I was already expected.

We spent the evening first in Guild Wars 2 but after nothing interesting popped up we went onto the couch and watch an episode of James May's Man Lab before going to bed.

Nach der Arbeit war ich gestern nur kurz zuhause die Katzen versorgen, da mein Schatz bei ihrer Mutter im Spital war und ich mir unterwegs ein Mittagessen besorgt habe. Doch zunächst ging es zum Xocolat für den lieben Harry einen Geburtstagsgutschein besorgen. Danach bin ich zum Audiamo gefahren und habe mir wieder ein neues Hörspiel gekauft. Die nächste Station auf der Reise war dann mySchnitzel wo es ein gutes Cordon Bleu als Mittagessen gab.

Gut gestärkt ging es zum Planet Harry weiter wo ich ein neues Spiel - Pixelstücke - zugelegt habe, was recht witzig ausgesehen hat. Am Heimweg dann wie immer noch etwas Fisch auf Reis für die Katzen und uns beim Natsu mitgenommen und ab ging es nach Hause wo ich schon erwartet wurde.

Den Abend haben wir dann zunächst in Guild Wars 2 verbracht, aber nachdem sich dann nichts Spannendes ergeben hat, sind wir auf die Couch gefallen und haben eine Folge von James May's Man Lab angeschaut bevor wir ins Bett gefallen sind.

It's a hell time in the kitchen again

Yesterday after work I was going to shop for our dinner, while my dear was doing household chores and playing with the cats. While having said dinner we played a bit of Guild Wars 2 to get our weekly WvW achievement for the Fall Tournament 2014.

Afterwards it was more cat playing time. And after that we went onto the couch and watch the tv series of the evening: two brand new episodes of Hell's Kitchen - one has to say that there are now even more psychopaths in the kitchen than ever before - and an old episode of James May's Man Lab, where we learned how to cast your own lemon squeezer out of aluminium.

Our tom cat is a great connoisseur, even when you eating grass.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit noch schnell für unser Abendessen einkaufen während mein Schatz sich um den Haushalt und die Katzen gekümmert hat. Zu besagtem Nachtmahl haben wir dann schnell das erste WvW wöchentliche Achievement des Herbstturniers in Guild Wars 2 gemacht und es ging wirklich schnell.

Danach war wieder Katzenspielzeit angesagt. Und hier anschließend dann die Serien des Abends auf der Couch: zwei Folgen der brandneuen Hell's Kitchen Staffel - wobei diesmal noch mehr Psychopathen in der Küche sind - und eine alte Folge von James May's Man Lab, wo man unter anderem gelernt hat seine eigene Zitronenpresse aus Aluminium zu gießen.

Der Kater ist auch beim Gras fressen ein Genießer.

We got a new member for our guild!

Yesterday I was shopping after work for our cats and our own culinary needs. By sheer luck we came by a nice bargain, as Royal Canin - the brand our cat likes best at the moment - was on a "1 plus 1 free" discount. So now we have enough food for her to last till october.

Back home we dear just finished her chores and we made ourselves an invigorating dinner.

After that we met up with a friend of ours and the latest addition to our guild in Guild Wars 2 and did some of the living story and one dungeon run before falling onto the couch and watching the first episode of James May's Man Lab season 2. This time we learned how to fell after a prison break through Dartmoor, and how to build your own pool table.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit für die Katzen und uns einkaufen. Durch Glück habe ich beim Fressnapf Royal Canin - die momentane Lieblingsmarke der Mieze - in einer Aktion "1 plus 1 gratis" bekommen und kräftig zugeschlagen. Bis Oktober sollten wir jetzt gerüstet sein.

Wieder zuhause war mein Schatz fertig von der Hausarbeit und wir haben uns ein stärkendes Nachtmahl gemacht.

Danach waren wir mit einer Freundin und dem neuesten Zugang unserer Gilde in Guild Wars 2 unterwegs uns haben Living Story und ein Dungeon gemacht bevor wir auf die Couch gefallen sind und uns die erste Episoden von James May's Man Lab Staffel 2 angeschaut haben. Diesmal unter anderem: wie flüchte ich nach einem Gefängnisausbruch durch das Dartmoor, oder wie baue ich mir selber einen Pooltisch.

Die Mieze-Katze kennt keinen Spaß wenn sie hungrig ist.

Last icecrem of the season?

We managed to sleep longer on the sunday as well. but this time the secret was feeding the cats at 5:00 in the morning. After a great breakfast we started our day - my darling went to visit her mother in hospital and I did some household chores and played with the cats until they (and I) were exhausted.

In the afternoon we retured to Lord of the Rings Online after a break of almost a month.

Then we decided to visit Tichy - proably the last time for this season, as they close at the end of september. The saloon was quite full, although it wasn't that hot that day.

In the evening we went onto the couch and started to watch another - to us - new series: James May's Man Lab. The series is about the assumption that modern men are not able to rely on good old values and knowledge how to do stuff. James May and his team want to help with that and show us how to do things correcly. In the first episode for example we learned how to disarm a WWII bomb and how to build a concrete kitchen (table). It's an interesting concept and done with a lot of humor, so we will keep watching this series.

Am Sonntag war auch lange schlafen angesagt, aber diesmal ging es sogar relativ gut mit offener Tür, weil die Katzenfütterung schon um 5:00 in der Nacht stattgefunden hat. Nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück sind wir in den Tag gestartet - mein Schatz hat ihre Mutter im Spital besucht und ich habe inzwischen etwas Hausarbeit gemacht und die Katzen durch Spielen verausgabt.

Am Nachmittag haben wir dann ein bisschen Lord of the Rings Online gespielt, nachdem wir fast einen Monat Pause gemacht hatten.

Einen kleinen - wahrscheinlich der letzte in diesem Jahr - Abstecher zum Tichy war dann auch noch drinnen, aber das Lokal war schon ziemlich voll und dass obwohl es nicht sonderlich heiß war.

Am Abend sind wir dann auf die Couch gefallen und haben uns wieder eine uns neue Serie angeschaut: James May's Man Lab. Darin geht es darum, dass man als Mann von heute nicht mehr die guten alten Werte und Fertigkeiten besitzt und James May und sein Team wollen Abhilfe schaffen und den Männern wieder auf die Sprünge helfen. Den Beginn machen so wichtige Sachen wie "Wie entschärft man einen Bombe aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg" oder "Wir bauen uns eine Küche(nplatte) aus Beton". Auf jeden Fall ist es ein witziges Konzept und natürlich wird es auch humorvoll präsentiert.
