Not the same friday routine

This friday I was to exhausted after work, so I decided the stay home. Since the Free RPG Day is today at Planet Harry, we will be going to Mariahilf anyway.

In the evening we watched tv series like The Musketeers and Kalkofes Mattscheibe.

Diesen Freitag war ich nach der Arbeit zu fertig, sodass ich dann nicht mehr weggegangen bin. Nachdem heute auch der Free RPG Day beim Planet Harry ist, sind wir ohnehin heute unterwegs.

Am Abend gab es dann wieder Serien in der Form von The Musketeers und Kalkofes Mattscheibe.

Tired and sleepy

Yesterday after work I quickly went to the post office. Then I stayed home though, but my dear went to the planned boardgame evening. I spent my time relaxing at first and later I watched the last episodes of Gotham and played some Guild Wars 2. When my dear came back, we then just went to sleep.

Gestern nach der Arbeit war ich noch schnell bei der Post. Danach bin ich zuhause geblieben, obwohl wir einen Brettspielabend geplant hatten. So ist also nur mein Schatz aufgebrochen und ich habe mich zuhause erholt.

Am späteren Abend habe ich dann die letzten Folgen Gotham geschaut und mich ein wenig in Guild Wars 2 herumgetrieben, bis wir dann schlafen gegangen sind.

Quick and simple

Yesterday after work we went grocery shopping for the weekend. After that we played some Guild Wars 2 and later went onto the couch for one episode of Top Gear and The Musketeers each.

Gestern waren wir nach der Arbeit noch groß fürs Wochenende einkaufen. Danach sind wir etwas in Guild Wars 2 unterwegs gewesen und dann ging es auf die Couch zu jeweils einer Folge Top Gear und The Musketeers.

Exhausted on tuesday

Yesterday after work I was at my parents' and got some tasty pancakes.

Afterwards I went home and then to the post office. When I came back we played with the cats and then I had to lie down for a bit.

Still quite exhausted I didn't play any Guild Wars 2 and we went on the couch early to watch one episode each of Kalkofes Mattscheibe, Upstart Crow and Paul Hollywood's Pie and Puds.

Gestern war ich nach der Arbeit bei meinen Eltern und habe köstliche Palatschinken bekommen.

Danach ging es nach Hause und dann noch zur Post. Als ich wieder zuhause war wurden die Katzen bespasst und dann hab ich mich etwas hingelegt.

Am Abend dann war ich zu fertig für Guild Wars 2 und so sind wir dann schon bald auf die Couch gefallen zu jeweils einer Episode von Kalkofes Mattscheibe, Upstart Crow und Paul Hollywood's Pie and Puds.

Film Review: Alice Through the Looking Glass

This monday - after a week being ill - we went to the latest Disney movie: Alice Through the Looking Glass

Alice is back, after some years of real life work, in Wonderland and tries to help the Mad Hatter. He thinks that his long lost family is not dead and recruits Alice to help him prove it and find them. Alice has to do some strange things with/against time to go back, but the past can't be changed that easily.

Not as much special effects as the first Alice movie from Disney, but the movie is worth waching anyway. The story is not that good, but not too bad either. You don't get borign during the movie and with time you really begin to like him/them.

Conclusion: Mr. Time is a really nice guy, once you lern to know him, and Alice masters everything thrown at her in Wonderland and in real life. Not such a big movie, but on the other hand it's no lost time either.

Am Kinomontag - nach einer Woche Pause - war diesmal der neueste Disney Film an der Reihe: Alice Through the Looking Glass

Alice ist, nach einigen Jahren Pause im echten Leben, wieder zurück im Wunderland und versucht ihrem Freund dem Hutmacher zu helfen. Dieser glaubt seine totgeglaubte Familie sei noch am Leben und Alice soll ihm dabei helfen sie zu finden. Alice muss dann in der/mit der/gegen die Zeit versuchen eine Lösung zu finden, aber Veränderung - speziell in der Vergangenheit - ist schwer.

Ein nicht ganz so großes Feuerwerk an Special Effects wie der erste Alice Film von Disney, aber trotzdem ist der Film sehenswert. Die Story ist stellenweise etwas dünn und man merkt, dass hier ohne große literarische Grundlage ein Drehbuch geschrieben wurde. Allerdings ist sie nicht unlogisch oder langweilig, man lernt also mit der Zeit, die übrigens nicht alle Wunden heilt.

Fazit: Der Herr Zeit ist doch ein ganz netter Typ und Alice steht im Wunderland und im echten Leben ihre Frau. Nicht ganz großes Kino, aber auch nicht verlorene Zeit.

Quiet sunday

Yesterday we had a quiet sunday, apart from doing the chores from last week.

The cats also got entertained and then we played some Guild Wars 2 with friends.

In the evening we played a two player game of Zombicide: Black Plague, but not entirely correct again - so next time we will get it right.

The last thing we did was watching one episode of Kalkofes Mattscheibe before we went to bed.

Gestern hatten wir einen ruhigen Tag, abgesehen von der Hausarbeit die über die Woche angefallen war.

Die Katzen wurden ordentlich bespasst und ansonsten haben wir und nur in Guild Wars 2 mit Freunden herumgetrieben.

Am Abend haben wir dann noch einmal eine Partie Zombicide: Black Plague gespielt, aber wieder nicht alles richtig gemacht. Nun ja, irgendwann klappt es sicher.

Zur späten Stunde gab es dann eine Folge Kalkofes Mattscheibe bevor wir ins Bett gefallen sind.

Boardgames!!!

This saturday it was time for boardgames with friends again. But before we began to play we had a sweet snack first.

The first game we played was Castles of Mad King Ludwig, where I narrowly succeeded with my dungeon strategy.

After that we played Machi Koro for the first time a complete game with the first expansion.

The next card game we played was Stich-Meister, where - once again - chaos was present all the time.

Shortly before dinner we quickly played a game of The Game, which we won without any notable problems.

After a very good dinner we play against zombies in Zombicide: Black Plague and - although we played some thing wrong - we found it quite nice, but we liked Ugly Snouts better.

The last game we played was Straw, where the poor camel got it's back broken over and over again.

Am Samstag war wieder Brettspielnachmittag mit Freunden angesagt. Bevor wir allerdings zu spielen begonnen haben, gab es noch eine gute Jause.

Als erstes Spiel haben wir dann mit Castles of Mad King Ludwig begonnen, wo ich mit meiner Dungeon-Strategie ganz knapp - um einen Punkt - gewonnen habe.

Danach ging es weiter mit Machi Koro und diesmal haben wir es endlich geschafft mit der ersten Erweiterung zu spielen.

Als nächstes Kartenspiel haben wir dann Stich-Meister gespielt, was wieder - oder wie immer - sehr chaotisch ausgegangen ist.

Kurz vor dem Abendessen haben wir dann noch schnell eine Partie The Game gespielt und souverän gewonnen.

Nach dem sehr guten Essen haben wir uns dann den Zombies von Zombicide: Black Plague zugewandt und - obwohl wieder falsch gespielt - es für recht befunden, allerdings haben uns die Ugly Snouts besser gefallen.

Ganz zum Schluss gab es dann noch eine Partie Straw, wo das arme Kamel wieder überladen wurde.

Not ill anymore - so shopping is on!

Since we were not feeling that ill anymore, it was friday shopping again. This time around though with only a few stops. First I got myself lunch at mySchnitzel.

Then, at Planet Harry, it was time for some restock.

And in the end I got us some dinner from Temaya.

Back home we then relaxed a bit before the fish was destributed between the cats and humans living in the flat.

In the evening we just went onto the couch to watch some tv series.

Nachdem wir wieder einigermassen gesundet sind, ging es am Freitag wie gewohnt nach Mariahilf zum Einkaufen. Diesmal allerdings nur mit weniger Stops. Zunächst ein Schnitzel bei mySchnitzel als Mittagessen.

Danach beim Planet Harry Nachschub einkaufen.

Und zum Abschluss dann beim Temaya das Abendessen erstehen.

Wieder zuhause haben wir uns einmal hingelegt und erholt, bevor dann die mitgebrachten Sushi unter die Katzen und Menschen gebracht wurden.

Am Abend war dann nur mehr Couch und Serien schauen angesagt.

I have the cold and have to stay in bed - the blog will resume once I am better again.

Ich habe mich verkühlt und bin deswegen zur Zeit im Bett - Blog kommt wieder wenn es mir besser geht.

Star Wars: Regrets of the Past

Yesterday we were at the cinema thanks to Planet Harry where we were invited to the first screening of a Star Wars fan film called Regrets of the Past.

After a reception with sparkling wine in the foyer of the cinema we were then allowed to take our seats - with about 700 people including cast and crew of the movie, their friends and family and lots of Star Wars fans.

The movie itself was very well made - the special effects, the sound and costume design was great. The only things I had a small complaints with are the amateur actors - beside the two real actors - and some very strange dialogues. The fighting scenes and the whole concept as brilliant though.

I'm just hoping that the movie will be available online soon - since it's a fan project - and that other people can also watch and enjoy it as much as we did.

Gestern waren wir mit dem lieben Planet Harry bei der Galapremiere eines Star Wars Fanfilms mit dem Titel Regrets of the Past.

Zunächst gab es einen Sektempfang im Foyer des Gartenbaukinos und dann durften wir in den großen - über 700 Plätze - Hauptsaal. Der war randvoll mit Crew vom Film, deren Familien und Massen an Star Wars Fans.

Der Film war sehr professionell gemacht - die Special Effects, der Sound und Kostüme/Maske waren einfach Top. Die einzigen wirklichen Probleme für mich waren die Laiendarsteller neben den zwei Schauspielprofis und die manchmal etwas seltsam anmutenden Dialoge. Die Kampfchoreographien und das gesamte Konzept waren allerdings perfekt.

Ich hoffe nur, dass der Film auch bald online verfügbar ist - da Fan Projekt - und sich auch andere an ihm erfreuen können. Uns hat es auf jeden Fall Spass gemacht.

Lucy is back on our screen

Yesterday the creative ladies were visiting us and they went for a run around Böhmischer Prater. In the meantime I baked some soda bread and entertained the cats.

Afterwards we had dinner and the we watched two episodes of Lucifer together on the couch.

After that ladies have gone, we then continued with one episode each of Have I Got a Bit More News For You and Upstart Crow.

Gestern waren die kreativen Damen bei uns und eine Runde im Böhmischen Prater laufen. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich ein Soda Bread gebacken und mich um die Katzen gekümmert.

Danach gab es Abendessen und dann sind wir zu zwei Episoden Lucifer auf die Couch gefallen.

Nachdem die Damen dann gegangen waren, haben wir noch weiter geschaut und zwar jeweils eine Folge von Have I Got a Bit More News For You and Upstart Crow.

This Gear is no longer that Top

Yesterday after work I went to my parents' and I got a tasty apple-pancake.

After that I went home and left again for the post office. Later that day we entertained the cats and then went to Guild Wars 2 for some time.

The conclusion of the evening was the most recent episode of Top Gear - with the new team - which wasn't as funny as the version from it's predecessors.

Der Abschluss des Abends war dann die aktuellste Folge von Top Gear - mit neuem Team - leider nicht ganz so lustig wie die Version von den Vorgängern.
